latley ive been doing all of the small mods i can do @ my own place. this next weekend i want to paint my brake calipers. i was wondering what colors people have painted their calipers w/ a carbon blue celica. and if you have pictures post em up so that i can get an idea of what the colors look like. and also, what paint sytem you used and how its kept up since you painted it.

Most people won't pay this much but I used the

G2 RED Brake Caliper Paint kit
comes with brush, expoxy like paint, brake cleaner, decal

The thing I like about it is that it stays shiny thumbsup had it on for 3years now and still looks the same since the day I put it on

runs about $30++

I used the Foliatec (basically the same as G2 I think) paint system and have had no problems at all. They still look bright and clean after 4 months; including driving on salted roads after some spring snow. There's a pic in my profile. I don't suggest yellow for a blue car though.

I plan to use G2, everyone who has used it absolutely RAVES about the results. $40 is not that much for a mod so easy to do.

they came out really good. me and my friend jeff used red brake caliper paint from pepboys (about $5) and a couple of jack stands...it's very easy, but very time consuming. we also found out it's better to use a garage because we had a light rain come out of nowhere (his calipers were painted black) thumbsup

the celica gt comes with drums..since you have a gts you have a REAL caliper (although a much smaller one than in the front) which you painted.

but anyway, yes you can paint the rear drums in a celica gt...the 'exterior' part won't rub off thumbsup

^^ yeah.

front brakes have to put up with a lot more stress than the rear brakes..therefore the front calipers on cars are virtually always bigger than the rear calipers thumbsup

How long does the G2 Paint System take if you plan to do all 4 calipers?
