Ok, I think I found the source of my electrical problem. There are four "multi fuses" in the interior fuse box, and two of them have blown fuses. The top two.

All I know is that since taking them both out, my power locks don't work, dome is out, alarm doesn't work at all, and whenever I start my car, both the tach and speedo needles shoot up to 5.5k RPM and 80mph respectively, hold there for like 2 seconds, and then fall. They both work also. Perhaps they are recallibrating, and this would be useful to those who are looking for another way to do so, if you have taken your instrument cluster apart.

Anyways, they are both 7.5 amps, and I went to Autozone and Advanced Auto Parts, and they looked at me like I had an ass growing on my face. God damn Toyotas. Anyone know where to find them at, other than the dealership?

I might have to try the dealership as a last resort, but they never have anything in stock and will ream me up the ass without any lube. Hopefully they have them on hand since they are used so often due to the fact that people are stupid and can't replace them theirselves.

Any ideas?

Sorry, here's a better picture. There are six prongs on each fuse, with 4 actual fuses inside.

yeah bud, I checked everywhere too... ended up going to Toyota. Cost me a $12 kick in the berries.

Oh yeah, one more thing..

In the meantime, check your fuse diagram on the back of the panel, I'm pretty sure there is an "unused" on one of the 7.5's. If not, I think the rear defroster shares the same section that you've blown, just switch them out to get yourself back in action till replacements arrive.

If so, I think I'll call Japan before I give Toyota the satisfaction. My car likes to blow fuses right after they are put in. Blows about 3 of them before it accepts it. My car is a bitch.

I think the rear defroster uses one of the more normal fuses called the DEF fuse. Anyways, I don't recall seeing an extra fuse in the interior kicker panel, just under the hood in that fuse box, but there was only an extra 5, 10, and 15 amp fuse in there.

Yeah, considering you can buy about 40 regular ones for that cost. This is one of the downfalls of owning a Japanese car. Gay ass parts.

where is the interior fuse panel?

Yup, mine blew too (my own fault) only one who has it is toyota. Got it for $3.99. Went to all the auto stores in my area, noone has ever even seen something like that before.

TheAnswer, The fuse box is in the right side of the center console by the passangers left leg.

I don't think there is one. There are spares in the engine fuse box, but they are ordinary fuses that you can buy anywhere.

I also blew mine by my own accord. I'm such a tool. I hooked up a wire a positive voltage on the clock harness, to give power to a certain part on my AC heater control panel. Everything was going fine, until I let go of the end I was using on the heater control panel, and it hit a ground in my car, and a spark flew out from the clock harness. Now the connection that was positive is now negative (ground) and I hope this can be fixed by replacing the broken fuses. Anyone know if that will solve the problem?

In other words, can a ground connection where a positive connection used to be be caused by a blown fuse?

just shove wires in and bridge the gap for now.

yeah, toyotas the only place i could find those damn fuses. anyone know if they have higers amperes then 7.5?
