Do you want a medal or something? Your not getting the point! I got my auto because it was a demo and saved 3 grand off of what I would have paid. No body here was asking for your comments of why we have autos and that we should have gotten a stick in the first place. This thread is about Turboing an auto.

My car might be slow, but at least it looks nice!

LOL...with a Turbo auto GT you might be able to keep up with me in the 1/4 mile. if your gonna pay the money to get Turbo then it would be dumb not to do a tranny conversion to manual. and while your doing that you might as well get the 6speed tranny.

300HP auto is still faster than a 140HP standard.

if you are filthy rich, do the full engine swap and tranny swap with the Turbo, otherwise just Turbo the auto, you'll still be faster than most cars on the street out there.

and for those of you hatin' on autos, maybe you should think about, maybe these people got their autos cus they got their car from their parents(like me) and you know how old people are

i've never heard of a single Turbo that will boost a GT up to 300 hp...but i do belive, say a 217 whp sf Turbo gt auto can kill a 140hp 5 speed...those 4 speed autos got large gears and with all that boost...it may have the advantage over a lower hp manual tranny.

Auto GT-T doesn't make sense though.

Maybe Not a Stock auto , but more then 50% of drag cars are now using automatic setups. With new interventions like Audi's setup in there Turbo. The Auto's are calculating quicker shift times then then the best manual drivers. If he can afford a Turbo , I'm sure he can afford some type of management system for his auto.

Haha rofl rofl

I once heard that a gt manual could rape a gts auto... Get the drift? Auto_ (how can I say this nicley) are pointless? My opinion is that you willn't get the gains that you would be expecting. Maybe a supercharger would be better for an auto? Save your money boys and get a 3S-GTE engine swop!

you do realize the GTS has about the same power (actually a little less torque) as a GT up until it hits lift.
so a GTS auto wouldn't redline all the way so it would be a close race.

but for a car with all that power throughout the powerband; it won't make that much of a difference if it is auto or manual.

well looks like the gains from that are still better than the TRD supercharger.

but with the A/F mixture going all screwy like that, maybe a powerFC is in whoever posted that's future.

since it looks like you're getting an SF Turbo as well. are you doing a full engine rebuild, or are you gonna use stock internals?

I'm gunna try run it stock at 6psi so i don't even risk blowing anything.

Than after i get abit more money im gunna get crower rods and forged pistons, so i can run like 12psi.

But from what i've been reading i could prob. boost it to like 8psi and still get away with it without hurting the engine all that much but i'd rather take it on the safe side.

But in the end ill end up buidling the engine up more mainly pistons and rods so i can run a high psi.

From what I have read, waste gate malfunctions are common. If you are running stock compression, it would be instant death for the motor. I'd recommend waiting until the motor is built.

waste gate off the SF kits? I Figured out that Crower Rods are the way to go but what do you recommend for pistons?

Wiseco Pistons. You can custom order any compression ratio your heart desires... Piston Rings: totalseal.com . Great ws name, huh? Lisa Kubo, that FAST female racer, uses http://totalseal.com piston rings.
