Don't know if you or anyone here but me noticed, but you spelled Turbo WRONG! you spelled it TUBOR IT'S Turbo!...N e way congrats on ur Turbo purchase that is tite let me here some Turbo sound clips!...
You'll notice I already got slammed for mentioning that, although I didn't do it quite as nicely as you.
Well SaddY, here we have the freedom to choose what we want. Our government doesn't control all aspects of our life. Some people choose to buy an automatic, and since you have obviously never been in one you have no idea of the advantages.
You can drive fast without spilling your beer!
In fact I've had 2 auto's.. so I know what I'm telling you even had 2 american auto's.. had a Mercury Villager (got from my mom when she got a new one .. and a El Camino wich I restored to top condition and sold right after) I also have been a pro motorcycle driver in The Netherlands.. so I know what speed is about
Do you want a medal or something? Your not getting the point! I got my auto because it was a demo and saved 3 grand off of what I would have paid. No body here was asking for your comments of why we have autos and that we should have gotten a stick in the first place. This thread is about Turboing an auto.
LOL...with a Turbo auto GT you might be able to keep up with me in the 1/4 mile. if your gonna pay the money to get Turbo then it would be dumb not to do a tranny conversion to manual. and while your doing that you might as well get the 6speed tranny.
was....5speed with i/h/e 15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'

if you are filthy rich, do the full engine swap and tranny swap with the Turbo, otherwise just Turbo the auto, you'll still be faster than most cars on the street out there.
and for those of you hatin' on autos, maybe you should think about, maybe these people got their autos cus they got their car from their parents(like me) and you know how old people are

300HP auto is still faster than a 140HP standard.
i've never heard of a single Turbo that will boost a GT up to 300 hp...but i do belive, say a 217 whp sf Turbo gt auto can kill a 140hp 5 speed...those 4 speed autos got large gears and with all that boost...it may have the advantage over a lower hp manual tranny.
Before you get all mad, you will notice that I nit-picked his english skills BEFORE he said that he was from China. All that I knew was that his location tag says Washington, so get over it.
Auto GT-T doesn't make sense though.
Maybe Not a Stock auto , but more then 50% of drag cars are now using automatic setups. With new interventions like Audi's setup in there Turbo. The Auto's are calculating quicker shift times then then the best manual drivers. If he can afford a Turbo , I'm sure he can afford some type of management system for his auto.
^^^ Do feel think an Turbo auto GT would put up a fight against maybe a stick z or srt4?? I would like to Turbo my car, but I have an auto as well?
Haha
I once heard that a gt manual could rape a gts auto... Get the drift? Auto_ (how can I say this nicley) are pointless? My opinion is that you willn't get the gains that you would be expecting. Maybe a supercharger would be better for an auto? Save your money boys and get a 3S-GTE engine swop!

HAHAH! Read ^^^ GT Manual vs GTS Auto! 140hp vs 180hp And Still The GT Wins.. Try It Somtime.. I Drove My GF Freinds Celica GT Auto.. I Thought I Might Die It Was Going So Slow.. It Has No Power Low End Or High End. Get A Stick!
you do realize the GTS has about the same power (actually a little less torque) as a GT up until it hits lift. so a GTS auto wouldn't redline all the way so it would be a close race.
but for a car with all that power throughout the powerband; it won't make that much of a difference if it is auto or manual.
Ok i took my car to the dyno today (SF Turbo Automatic Transmission), and it was running lean just like i thought it was. But i ran the car at 6 psi and the lowest my a/f ratio went was 13.3 at around 6000 rpms. It idles at 15.9 and at around 4000 rpms the a/f ratio is at 14.3, But i managed to make 205.9 whp and 172.9 tq. What should i do, get a refund on the SF fuel system and get a GReddy E-Manage and bigger injectors? or try to fix/tune the current fuel system? I'm gunna try run it stock at 6psi so i don't even risk blowing anything.
Than after i get abit more money im gunna get crower rods and forged pistons, so i can run like 12psi.
But from what i've been reading i could prob. boost it to like 8psi and still get away with it without hurting the engine all that much but i'd rather take it on the safe side.
But in the end ill end up buidling the engine up more mainly pistons and rods so i can run a high psi.
From what I have read, waste gate malfunctions are common. If you are running stock compression, it would be instant death for the motor. I'd recommend waiting until the motor is built.
Wiseco Pistons. You can custom order any compression ratio your heart desires... Piston Rings: totalseal.com . Great ws name, huh? Lisa Kubo, that FAST female racer, uses http://totalseal.com piston rings.
Thanks For Your Help! I'll Probly Buy My Pistons And Rods This Week! What Would Be The Desired Ratio For Me To Order To Run The Highest PSI And The Most effective?
