Wuddup guys...im in the process of getting some 17" Motegi FF7 Gunmetal rims soon. I went to go check them out yesterday and the person who was helping me out suggested the tire size for 17" rims should be 235/40 R 17...i found some on display..and they look pretty wide. Looks like it could be popping out of my fenders. What tire size are on your guy's celi?

I got Motegi FF6 GM 215/45/17 and they don't stick out too far or rub or anything... and my car is lowered with TRD springs.

how wide is your rim? most aftermarket rims are 7.5" wide (17 X 17.5)

if so, then i would get 225/40/17

if they are 6" i would get 205/40/17

if they are 6.5" i would get 215/40/17

and if they are 8" i would get 235/40/17

you can always hedge a bit either way...for instance on a 7.5" wide tire the usual available options are from 205/40/17 to 235 245/40/17 ...and you can eve hedge on this a bit thumbsup

Here is a shot of just the rims... FF7's not FF6 like I said earlier.
