Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior TPR CAI - color options? *Help Me Decide*

Some of you guys may have seen my engine bay - I have a chrome AEM gen2 CAI presently - but I've read a lot of positive reviews concerning the gains of the TPR in both low and high end as well as alleviating bog and no CEL's reported. This, as well as my choice of color for the cai, made the decision easy...

My question is, what color do you guys suggest for my new Intake? I was considering having it powdercoated black or gunmetal to match the Carbon Fiber theme, or dark blue to flow with the hoses. What would you do?

I think if you had it powdercoated to match the gunmetal-like color in the Carbon Fiber that would flow really nice!

I was thinking the Chrome of your AEM CAI perfectly accents the bling factor of the hypermotive strut bar/battery tie down

But since you are going the TPR route..

powdercoated black --> wouldn't stand out as much

yeah, especially the tie-down...

- actually, I got the cai and strut bar to set each other off but I want a new look now. Either a similar color so everything flows together or a combo theme like black/blue...

either blue or the gun metal would look real good

when its gunmetal it seems like it just blends in with the engine bay...as if there werent a cai at all. so with that...i say blue like the rest of the crowd.
