Just finished putting a new Shift Knob and Boot in the Celi Yeh, Momo ain't cheap but it's hella nice...the knob is a nice weight too. Easy to install too I'll probly be selling my old leather wrapped "red" shifter pretty soon.
I was just looking at their site, and the vast majority of their knobs have those holes in the top like yours does. Are those screws, lights, or just holes?
EDIT:
One more question...
Are all MOMO knobs universal fit?

Aqua Teen Hunger Force...number one in the hood, G
looks nice, but does it ever get hotin calgary??? i love my leather wrap because its probably saved me from thousands of third degree burns out here in so cal.
^^ i have a b&m ss with the b&m knob...it's not uncommon for 100 degree weather OUTSIDE of the car here in new orleans (inside the car can be 150 F no problem) and my metal knob is almost UNTOUCHABLE for any period over 2 seconds.
the good news is...it cools off very quickly (as most metals do)
^^ you can get a cloth cover and place it over your knob to keep most of the heat awaay..or just put a hankerchief or some other piece of cloth over it when your finished driving

yeah but i imagine its still a hassle to have a hot handle..at least it was for me, i put on a ichibahn aluminum shift nob on a while back and it made the shifter longer since it didnt screw in and also made me regret having it on when i almost burned my hand once. does the b & m knob screw in? or is it a whole diff setup after you get a b& m...cuz i wanna get one and im curious
Thanks Actually, the pic makes it hard to tell but the shift boot is the same color as the seats and door panel inserts...it's just the lighting The Alcantra boot was soooo much nicer than the red leather one IMO. It's called "universal" fit but that's because MOMO includes different sized adapters to fit inside the knob so it's a snug fit...then there are three tiny screws that you put in the base of the knob to further tighten it. I was amazed how solid it is on now. With my TWM shifter as well, it's really cool how the gears just slam into place. The sphere knob was like $125, shift boot was $60ish...again, not cheap, but you can't really get a nicer knob to compliment your interior. It was just a little mod I wanted to throw in there before a show this weekend
oh yeh, it does get hot here during the summer but not CRAZY hot haha, we'll see how it does when I go down to California next month though. also, the holes in the top aren't lights, i think they have little screws in them but probly just to hold the sphere together. what was also nice is that the MOMO boot screws onto the bottom of the knob nice and tight

i used to put a towel or a sock over it but it still got hotter than shit, now i keep one of my mechanics gloves over it, that keeps it cool. plus its got red in it so it matches my interior.
how would the red boot look in my car, with the surrounding center console painted in absolute red like the exterior?
awesome man. I have that same knob but with the silver ring that matches the silver MOMO shift boot I bought too...
Only problem is that mine is about a year and a half old and it looks like shit... very poor quality IMO. I hope yours works out better. I've had MOMO before and it wasn't like this one. The finish is all rubbing off and going black, not impressed. I don't even wear rings or anything.
I'll take a pic if you want. Good luck, maybe i just got a bad one
