anyone else get pulled over because they have mods to their car? i was doing 45 in a 45 and a cop pulls out and follows me and blows a red light without his lights on...i was like gee i wonder if im getting pulled over. turns on his disco lights and we pull over. he goes "do you know why im pulling you over?" i say "no" he proceeds to tell me not having a front license plate and the muffler is illegal. man i wanted to say to him "because your a jackass and can't find someone better to get a power ego trip on?" decided that would not help the current situation. where the fuck were the cops when my shit got stolen. they say "tough luck, we can file a report but thats about it". so anyways he sees my inspection is up and just writes me a ticket for that. btw he pulled me over cause i got full ec-1 veilside on my car and no place to put a front license plate. gay, i dont see the purpose for needing one on the front and the back. inspection stickers are so easy to get now.

yeah i know what you mean...i just got my lisence and one of those under cover srgt assholes looking for extra pay pulled me over cause he couldn't read my plates...i thought i took the turn a little fast though

oh ... im playing to get ec-1 ... i didn't know you can't put plates on ... actually i never thought of tat ... but i saw ppl do tat often ... in canada ~

a cop started following me after i took a turn really fast, i knew he was back there so i slowed down real good... and just waited for him to tail me really close, before i slamed on my breaks, signaled and turned... it was funny watching him in my rear mirror the whole time... i also laugh at cops when they do turns in the middle of the street to follow someone, or run red lights or cut throw parking lots, its just funny how much shit they get away with

^if you find it funny when cops do illegal uturns, wait til you hear this. on an empty road, a cop made a you turn when you was on his left side. he ended up busting my passenger door, front and rear bumper, rear door. pig didnt even apologize.
a friend of mine got pulled over for illegal exhaust (stock exhaust with aem short ram), cop opened the hood and somehow the Intake didnt have a carb #. 700$ fine. he also found a pipe in the car, so he did a drug search all over the car. guy couldnt make it to class.

yeah my car has already been torn up and jolly rigged back together by them damn retards...i opened up my deck to put a new one in...i found a buch of wires mingled and held together with melted electric tape.

I just got out of court yesterday where they dismissed my case and the judge laughed because a cop followed me for 3 miles on all sorts of turns I was making trying to get rid of him and ended up pulling me over and tied to give me a ticket for "failure to obey a traffic control device"...I RAN A YELLOW LIGHT ...the stupid cop gave me a ticket for running a yellow light, the judge was like WTF!!?? going through on yellow isn't illegal unless you stop in the middle of the intersection!!

as dirty as the cops are around here, they only give you problems for liscence plate and exhaust and shit like that during holiday weekends looking for DUI's.

There are certain cities in my area where cops are horrible. It's the upscale towns that are bad. I got pulled over in Cerritos for no front plate twice in a couple of days. In my city, I've gotten parking tickets for having my parent's cars on the lawn while I washed mine.

Basically, if there is no crime, they have to entertain themselves somehow.

How about this one, getting pulled over for the "Move Over Act". That states that you have to go into the other lane (if their is one) when a cop pulls someone over. Sounds good for the safety of the cop but it's just more bullshit, i even moved over and slowed down -20 under speed limit.

so im getting a sticker tomorrow, anyone know what i do about the ticket? can i get it ripped up now or something?

you would be shocked with the amount of laws the general public does not know about.
at least here in UT, you technically need to move over and slow down to 20mph when someone is getting pulled over.

Yeah, and the police are sure happy about those laws the general public doesn't know about... because it's free money for the taking. Like in California while making a right turn on green, you have to yield to any pedestrian crossing toward you until they reach the curb... but only have to yield until they cross the median if they are walking away from you.

I was pulled over for speeding ... but the cop gave me a ticket for not having a front liscense plate instead.. I was going 80 on a 65 freeway.

I got it signed off by a cop and right after I took it back off! The front lisence plate law is so STUPID!!! I bet you If I was driving around with a new beamer or porche they wouldnt say anything about not having a plate. I refuse to sport an ugly plate on the front of my car!

Front plate law is dumb. But it's no dumber than the seatbelt law, or the tint law, or a dozen other things I can name.

I asked the cop about that and he said that was still illegal! Plus it looks so stupid on your dash! Plates are stupid regardless... If I could I would even get rid of my rear plate!

The very instructions from the DMV when you get your plates do not specify where in the front to put your plates. So putting it anywhere is following the instructions of the DMV. If it's illegal you were only doing what you were told, and it's the DMV's fault.
