if it's not the balance...how about getting an alignment.

99% of steering wheel shakes are either from not being balanced properly or not having a proper alignment

(the other 1% is due to a warped rim) thumbsup

Do you have hubcentric rings? I have rims that made it shake like crazy but after getting hubcentric rings it went away. There is still a little shaking though so dont count on it ever being perfect.

I can tell you it's not the alignment. I have the worst alignment know to man and I have absolutely not a twitch in the steering wheel past or under 90. Did you try to re-torque your wheels? Loosen them and re-do the lugs in a correct fashion to the proper torque specs. How many miles on your tires? You said they were balanced 10 times, but are they new are 50,000 mile old? Maybe some suspension componant is worn or lose. If all these suggestions fail check in with a mechanic to check the parts on your suspension. CV joint, endlinks, who knows. Good luck.

its either your tires arent balanced right or you have an air bubble forming in one of your tires, which i recommend for you to get checked out asap.

My car shook at 90+ KPH at one point in time after i installed new wheels and gts rims. I think it has something to do with the wheel balance

yeah this mechanic told me it's called an "air bubble". i dont know how it forms, but i had it in of my tires on my 240. i had mild shaking around 60-70. he told me to change it asap, a week later it blew.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!!! NOW I HOPE YOUR SITING DOWN... I TRUST YOU LOWERED YOU CAR, IF NOT STOP READING.

I LOWERED MY CAR AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE FOR AWHILE UNTIL MY STEERING WHEEL STARTED SHAKING AT HIGH SPEEDS LIKE 85-90. SO I TOOK IT TO A RIM/TIRE PLACE. HE SAID THAT SINCE I LOWERED MY CAR I WAS GETTING NEGETIVE CAMBER IN THE REAR, AND MY TIRES WEARING MORE ON THE INSIDE THAT THE REST OF THE TIRE. AND THAT MADE MY STEERING WHEEL SHAKE LIKE MAD. SO HE ROTATED MY WHEELS AND ALIGNED EVERYTHING. HE SAID IT IS A TEMP. FIX AND THAT I NEED NEW CAMBER LINKS TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

HOPE THAT HELPED, I TYPED IT IN ALL CAPS SO YOU WOULD CATCH IT!!

good luck!
