Celica Forums General Discussion General Warranty work...your experience?

For those of you who have had warranty work done how did it go?? B/c Ive heard a lot of horror stories and reasons why the dealer wont do warranty work sometimes. Also, did you have the factory warranty or were you under an extended warranty?? B/c tomorrow I'm hopefully getting my altenator replaced under warranty and my car is now under the extended warranty that I got when I purchased my car. It seems to me like they would be more likely to do work under extended warranty b/c a. Toyota does not provide the warranty (some other company does) and b. you are the one who pays extra for the extended warranty. Sorry its so long.

Where I come from, Toyota does all the repairs regardless. The minor work I have had done; I was given very little hassle even when it was apparent that it was not a defect, but abuse.

when i bought my car the window sills were heavyily corroded
i went to toyota and they fixed it for free under my warranty. they even bought me a cab, so while they worked on my car i could get to work, so all in all it was a very good experience

I've had nothing but positive experiences when it comes to warranty-required fixes by the dealership...

My dealership has loaner Camri's. So whenever its in for more than an hour, I grab one of those & go.
