Wow, yesterday I was in Intercourse, PA... I know laugh all you want... and somebody tried breaking in to my car! It was broad day light an all so they really didn't get anywhere. But what they did do was jam a flathead screwdriver in to the rubber split part on top of the window where the corner of your glass door touches. They completely ripped off a piece of the rubber and shifted my whole rubber seal down! What a pain! Now I have to roll down my windows to close my door or else it doesn't close right! I can't believe this happened!!! ARGHHH!!!!
why will in not close right? when i was running some wire's to the back of my car i ran them along the top of the door and was having what sounds to be the same problem, i just messed around with it for awhile until i got the rubber part to stay in. it does take a little time but it will go back in after you pinch (with your fingers)it in. that rubber piece came of when i got my alarm installed...on my way home it started to come down so i pushed it in...it took a few tries for it to stay...its not perfect but it stays in place
Once said by a wise man..."i am too metrosexual for my own good"....you know who you are...
My mom tried breaking into mine. I guess she just wanted to see what i had in my trunk but my windows were down and she just reached in and unlocked it and the alarm went off. Naturally i ran downstairs and she was like "it just went off while i walked by it" my alarm never goes off. But sorry for you man. Hope insurance pays for everything. Atleast they didnt get anything.
Yea, it's not the rubber seal, that's a bad explanation, it's the THICK plastic piece right on top of the soft rubber seal. I tried pusing it back up, but it won't hold, takes quite a lot of pressure to push it back to where it is suppose to be, so glue is out of the question! I have an alarm system, but I don't know if it went off or not, probably did since they didn't finish... But yea, at least they didn't jack my car.
hehe that is a funny name, sorry to hear about your celica tho man, seems like lately more and more celicas are gettin jacked, i just read in the forum somebodies celica was actually stolen...good luck with that though man
Sorry about your car dude. At least nothing was stolen, right?
