Hi all i am new to the site as a poster but have been viewing for some time. There is one topic i am interestred in.
The BHP of the celicas over there in the states.I Mention this because of the post regarding the Lotus Elise and how people are confused by the increase in BHP to 190
My celica comes standard with 190 BHP ( The model of my celica is actualy badged VVTI-190).
Could you tell me what the standard BHP is on USA Models and what the 0-60 MPH is. Just curious I guess
10 MPH is how fast the peeps run away after you take their pink slip and car...called the "10 MPH Effect". Comes standard on most GTS' if it's got a good driver installed.

I remember reading a European mag (Car?) years ago after I purchased my Celica where they were compairing the Celica 190 to a Mitsu FTO and a Vauxhall? Turbo, the third car eludes me. I was amazed that the European Celica came with as we know it the climate control, a darker grey/silver paint, and more HP. This was when I was in my barbaric days of lighting fires and smoke signals to send my friends a message. The HP difference is emissions. The other stuff is shear ignorance or how Toyota figured they could save money to the public by shaving these things for an already way overpriced car. Shame on you Toyota.
