Unless you have no way to pay for a good company... stick with one you trust. You get what you pay for, if you ever file a claim...

If a company doesn't ask to see my car before they insure it hehe I trust them to some extent that they'll be nice when I need help. Anyway a contract is a contract and if they agree to insure me comprehensively my lawyer will see to it that they will. AAA has great rates if you are a member and it's a good thing to be member anyway. For the celica GTS and for an unmarried male over the age of 25, your yearly rate could be $1700 or less. Considering all those factors...the sports car, the gender, and the not married part...that's a pretty good price in cali.

best to stick to a very reliable insurance company such as allstate, geiko, progressive, state farm, etc...their are cheaper companies but when you do have a wreck, nothings better than having a lawyer (already paid for) providing assistance and possibly going to court for you if the accident takes that turn. also, having hassle free quotes and getting your car in and out of the shop without a problem is worth a TON. i personally have allstate, they were the cheapest for me by over $50 a month and i have no complaints about them whatsoever

True story.
I got a call at work about a year ago. Poor guy was in a total state of panic. He was backing out of his driveway, when a 3-year-old broke free from his mom's hand and ran behind his van. The child was killed instantly. Not only was he extremely guilty, but he was worried about losing his house and everything else he worked for.
The next day, our company paid out his policy limits directly to the family. He no longer had to worry about lawsuits, and felt much better that the family got something for what had happened.
Not many companies would just go out and pay $250k... I'm sure at that point, he was happy to have paid the little extra premium every month.

true story: my younger bro fell asleep behind the wheel, crossed over the lane and smashed another car, totalling both his honda civic coupe and the nissan sentra. my bro was in the hospital for 2 weeks, one guy for 3 or 4 days, and the other guy 2 days. needless to say, we're getting sued for pretty much everything you can imagine. needless to say, on our own we couldn't afford a very good lawyer. no problem--allstate has some very good lawyers so we get one that has helped a LOT so far and will help a lot during the ensuing court battles for a few more years down the line. allstate did NOT pay off the other people (such as revmonsters case was)..but on the other hand, my bro's hospital bill alone was over $250k and there's like a couple mil involved in the lawsuit...but they DID pay the whole premium w/out question and as i said they are providing a lawyer--which they do NOT have to do by law (by law if an insurance companies pays off the policy in full--they are hands free) that was back in february, my bro is due back in the hospital for more surgery early next month (august) which will put him back in a wheelchair and on crutches for another 2-3 months

well this is my story... i had all-state for 4 years. and my rates were great. But ever since this stupid chick ram me from the side in parkinglot. eventhough it wasn't my fault, clearly. my freakn rate went up like crazy. That's such a bullshit. All the acciden't i've been in was in parking lot, and i wasn't moving. my insurance was like x3!!!. So i switch to progressive, which had cheaper rates than allstate. Right now im considering for just the liability.

If All-State were such a good company they would take into account that it was not your fault, and not raise your rate at all...not to mention x3. My company wouldn't do that. I would walk from a company at the blink of an eye if it did that to me. Screw them. When it comes to customer service, sounds more like All-Fake to me. Sorry to hear that.

Sue their asses for raising your rates. Now that's what I call "insurance fraud"!!!!! Get a lawyer on contingency.

I got on my family's policy. If I get hit though, my parents get sued . I'm extra careful about that. After three years driving, I get a discount in October. Still pay $1900 a year. I have Wawanesa.
