I wouldn't pay more than $200 for a good exhaust. Get a magnaflow muffler welded on custom mandrel piping. Keep the resonator if you want...I just took mine out while I was at it.
that's good considering the shipping cost grip i got my apexi n1 for 420 shipped. shipping on those exhaust usually cost around 50-100 bucks its a big ass box, like 5x2 ft box
^^^ so how does that work QTRMLR_1 im very curious in doing the same thing...that is giving a muffler shop like lets say a tanabe muffler do they just custom bend piping and sorta fabricate a custom exhaust? you can also keep the resonator?

Make sure the shop does mandrel bends (smooth bends of consistent diameter) and no ghetto crush bends. It shouln't cost more...it's just about them having the best equipment. You can have a very straight custom pipe with a Tanabe on the end, no problem. If cops are relaxed in your area, take the resonator out as well, as you can probably get by with a silencer on your Tanabe. Another option is using an Exhaust Control Valve from www.Arospeed.com [arospeed.com] . Sure it's not sound certified, but the setup I have is so quiet and straight through, cops don't even bother me when I pass by them. And even if they did I know I would pass a test at a referee's station.
