okay i havent seen this mentioned in any of the intalls ive read, so it could be so simple that im a dumbass for asking. our cars already come with tweeters so there is exsisting wires already in place to replace the tweeter but if you were to use a component system, you would be using the aftermarket cross over to power the tweeter. so what happens with stock setup does it get unplugged near the old tweeter and just sit there, or do you disconnent it elsewhere? same with the mid on the gts your swapping 2 speakers for just one so what happens to those wires? my last question is what color wires do you use to power the cross over?

This was the same question I had when I switched mine out with a component set-up. I bought a set of kicker 6 3/4's that allow you to mount the tweeter in the center much like a coaxial speaker. So I left the factory tweet where it was and spliced after the tweeter to run to the crossover for my new components. The tweet already has a cap on it that allows the full signal to be sent past it while only pulling the highs. If you just want to replace the factories just cut and splice before the tweet and run that to your crossover. If you look in the Tech Info section at the bottome you should see a full wiring diagram of the Celica - the stereo info starts on page 50 I think. PM me if you get stuck. Later.
