so I dropped off my 03 GT 5 speed for a tranny rattle that is being covered under warranty...and they gave me a loaner...but do they give me something that is small, low to the ground, and handles decent like my celi...nope, I got a 2004 raised V8 toyota tundra 4 door...its huge, and its like parking a damn boat ...but ya gotta luv the torque from the v8

damn, i got a prius (1st gen) once. like the GPS...

yeah...if they would have handed me a prius I would have been like ARRGHHH!!!...

So you're gonna pimp that out at the meet Saturday right?

I'm gonna hope and pray that my car is ready by then...they said that if they can get their handds on parts that it probably will be good to go...so I'm praying hard ...but if not then I guess I might just to take pics, and a video of the meet for everyone...I really really want my car back tho...

i won't ask for handling, instead, how's the take off on one of those???

hehehehe...its nice...it just goes and goes from the line...no lack of power anywhere at all down low...hehehehehehe ...but then again, that's what 315 ft-lbs. of torque will do to you...hehehehehehehe

eh...not sure...if it is, then its not much to talk about...doesn't feel like it though...my celica revs faster, and feels quicker I think...the tundra just owns it going up hills, but to get a good launch you have to ease into the throttle, if you step on it, it takes a little while to recognize and downshift, or it will bog a little off the line...so meh...not sure...and oh yeah...1,000th post!!!!!!...hooray

I'd like a Tundra with the supercharger on it!

i have a tundra v8 and i love it, and its fast, hey azzkikr how fast is ur celica, i know you have high compression, so is there a big difference between stock and high compression?

yeah, its pretty strong...I've never drag raced, but I've done a few track days...it definitely handles stock GT's. never raced a GTS 6 speed, but have never lost to a GTS auto, and have beaten a Z71 tahoe, and ripped on a 6.0 escalade...don't know how revelant that is to the tundra, but I know that they owned off the line, but when I hit second I caught up, and by third I was gone...I know that they are heavy like the tundra, and they also have more power...but yeah, its strong, but I'm not sure exactly ( numbers )how fast it is

all of you are lucky guys. they gave me once a dodge neon. i swear i didn't drive it. i had my wife drive me all the time. she loved it given that it's smaller than her truck. everything about it was messed up no power windows , too much unused space, too bulky and too damn slow( automatic). i couldn't wait to get my celiback. boy i was so excited the day it was ready. lol

did i mention that it was also an older model.

for a second i thought they gave you an mr2. wouldnt it be nice though if they gave you mr2?

not as far as I know, but quite a few members here are having the problem with their 03 GT 5 speeds...here is my other thread on it...stupid 2003 GT tranny!!!!!...check it out, and see...I've called toyota and they are willing to help with whatever they can...it just started rattling like balls in 3rd 4th and 5th gears...so I took it in for some warranty work

Oh cool...Did you tell them to install the Clutch and Flywheel?

Do they charge you for the mileage or is it free ?

I get 150 miles a day on the loaner...10 cents a mile after that, and no, I didn't have the money to have them install the clutch and flywheel (TRD japan / fidanza combo)...I had to pay $800 for tuition, and $300 for books today, so yeah...no Performance stuff for me today
