Does anyone have any opinions on Rev Wheels rims? They look really good, are very light and don't cost a lot. Whats the catch?

I don't see them for sale in the better known shops. But they're sold:

and

Not all of them come 5x100, The model 1 and the 10 do, and they look really sharp.

I guess what I'm asking is: can one get a 17lb, quality rim for under $120, or are these crap?

Those look really good, tgts2000. Those are the gunmetal ones? Speedandstyle was a respectable store? How did they ship them, did you get them with tires, or bought them locally?

Yea speedandstyle was very respectable. I ordered the Model 9's and upgraded the tire size, had them mounted, and a set of lugs for all about 1k!

beans, according to IcEd blUe here:

https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1869899262_0_collapsed_5_365_1.html#1869899262

Stock GTS wheels are 22 lbs. The Rev model 10's are a tad over 16lbs.

Now I just have to pick black or gunmetal.

I have a quote for the Rev 10 wheels, 4 Perelli P7000 tires, installed and balanced and delivered for $999. I think thats a pretty good deal, do you concur? The tires alone usually go for about 100 a piece and the rims seem to go for about 120 a piece.

Think the Perelli's are worth it? Its about $100 cheaper with something like Falken Ziex's.

Tire size is 215/47/17, thats a decent compromise between Performance and comfort, right?

I can't say on the price of your deal or the price on the tires (it seems good), and the P7000 is a good all around tire. There are stickier tires out there for the same price, but will wear out before the Pirelli's. The Falkens I think will perform better than the P7000 for the same price. If Pirelli I personally would go the PZero route (cost more), but that's just me. It's a good compromise, I guess. I'm going to contact my friend and see on prices for those wheels if possible and tire choices tomorrow. Don't let this stop you from ordering either I think it's a good deal.
