Is it possible to put a vtec controller in Celica GTS, Since we have a something like a vtec which is out VVTL-I or lift?

There is a huge debate on this. The VAFC will supposedly work with the 2zz because it's not made just for vtech it simply controls when the cam switch is made, but is a large debate.

actually im pretty sure it will work. a lot of the celicas here are using it... so i dont see why not. it also works for MIVEC

the fcon pro can be used in place of the power fc.

Is it possible to put a vtec controller in Celica GTS, Since we have a something like a vtec which is out VVTL-I or lift? I'm no expert, but I think it is possible, but you wouldn't be able to take advantage of lift in the VVTL-I engines. Just what i've heard.

The problem would be interfacing with Toyota sensors & computer.

i saw it on a celica in one of our local magazines (im in Australia) and they called it a VVTL-i controller. so i looked at the close-up shots and it was actually a VTec Controller...Clos, i think i would know the difference between the powerfc and a vtec controller. im also pretty sure i also saw another celica at an autosalon event here with it.

i just wish it werent a debate and we could view an article or actual celica with it.
recommending a 'maybe' isn't going to help anyone. (and that is not mean to be derrogative to any of these responses...its just a fact)
