Yeah well i was driving down to my friends house and i was going around a turn going about 60 and still increasing and then its like i got the speed wiggles!! You know.. like if your on a skateboard and goin down a hill too fast you start wiggling till you biff it. So anyways i started to lose control of the car and almost hit the big ass curb with the cement walls!! Luckily i got control right before but after that i was shaking sooooo bad. I had to pull over for a second to calm myself down ahah
I think the term is "speed wabble" & cars aren't supposed to get those. Maybe at about 400MPH on stock bearings?
wiggle.. wabble same difference lol but yeah i guess i used the wrong term then.. ill put it this way i was flying around a curved road and lost control of the damn car and started going from one side of the road to other hah it was just some scary shit wabbled or wiggled!
that happened to my friends s2000. he was going on ramp 40+ mph. the on ramp is a hardcore turn that a normal car barely can make it 20mph. the car swirved right hardcore, he got control and oversteered and swirved left. the good news is that the on ramp had 2 lanes, the left was carpool, he barely made it not hitting the curb and the car turned 180 degrees. it was so weird cz then a few seconds later a car passed by us while we were stopped at the other lane facing the wrong direction. car didnt start for about 10 secs cz of the hardcore movements, gas moved on the other side of the pump, took a while for the fuel pump to suck the gas back. conclusion: he had tire armoralls on(dealer putted it) and he lost the grip off his tires for messing around with it to much. to prevent any thing like this from happening, listen to ur tires, when they start squealing, ease up on gas and dont oversteer, cz if you do ull lose control
man...I am glad you are still alive...please be careful. It would not have been pretty if you hit that wall. Try not to gas it too much in turns...maybe pulling out but not going in. Did you gas it really hard or was it a sharp turn b/c perhaps you induced too much oversteer breaking the traction of your rear wheels. Also do check your tread on your tires...maybe it's kind of worn. Best thing is to slow down if you don't know what your car can do.
^^^ S2000's are notorious for oversteer in the hands of less-than-professional drivers. That's part of the reason they changed the suspension setup for 04. There were LARGE numbers of people driving the 03 and earlier cars into ditches.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you
^^ Yeah that woulda sucked bad!! And QTR i think your right.. i was already flying and then i just kept on the gas around the curve.. not the best idea eh??
My boss has a very tricked out S2000 (2000 model year) he's got mad mods...was on an outting up to Petoskey michigan (from Pittsburgh). On the way home he hydroplaned hit the wall with front right corner, spun bounced rear corner. Did 12,000 damage. 1000 was replacing two Volk gunmetal 19's. The dude behind him said when he hit where the water was laying the whole assend of the S2K lifted up. He didn't get hurt, but he won't be getting his S back until mid-september. Goes to show how easy things can happen!!
damn dude you could of died, calm down with that shit, ur lucky ur okay, and no i have never came close to that, because i belive i have a lil more comon sence then, hitting a turn at 60mph, but its ur car, you wanna do shit like that, go ahead, glad ur okay do.
