lol, you people are lucky...my gas gauge is off by about four bars, so the first bar doesn't disappear until I've driven about 115 miles, and then it'll keep going down all the way to 4 bars, and stop there till you run out of gas. happened to me on my first tank cause I thought it would go to zero and give me the light (which it didn't). Never happened again. BTW if anyone knows how to fix this let me know

when i fill my tank up all the way, sometimes i top-off, i can get about 110 miles before the first (20th bar) bar drops.

Auto = better MPG in the city Manual = better MPG on the highway
Anyway, I've gone about 30 miles on one bar (though it wasn't the last bar).
Also, are the 2000-2002 and 2003+ gas meters different? my 00 gt looks like the blue gauge one...

RookieGTS, you know when you put gas in your tank and all of a sudden the pump is no longer putting gas in your car. that's because there are sensors in the pump nozzle that can tell when your tank is full. for example, my celica is full around $24.82 (last time i filled up it was at this amount). i wanted the price to be even, so I pumped more gas to bring the price up to $25.00. thats topping off. if i were to go any further, gas would begin to spill out of the tank. thats why they ask you not to top off.
