I'm plannin to paint my interior but i don't know how to:
1. remove air vents
2. take apart center console

i've seen about a billion posts to take apart the console w/ a manual, but how do you do this for auto? also what type of paint should i use for vnyl dying the interior and painting the console.

first off...why do you want to paint the whole dash?
I just don't think it looks that great plus it is a hassle to do it. I mean you can if you want to though.
I think the air vents just can pull out or something, someone told me before cause I may paint mine or buy blue bats overlays again in red.
The center console? I know how to take the lower half off but not the upper half. I think it is just too much work to do all that. When you sell the car...who is going to want a painted dash?

I'm not painting the whole dash, just the console and a bit around it, you know like the line from the door through the front speakers under the steering wheel around the center and the same line on the passenger side. it'll be like a big stripe i guess.

oh ok that is better. I think a good man to talk to about that is 4u2envy on this board. He painted his dash like that and it looks excellent. He hasn't been around much though. Sorry I can't really help. [Linked Image from 216.40.249.192]

center consol removal is the same for both auto or manual

Air vents are a pain to remove without tearing them...

to take out the bottom plastic in the center console you pull out the knobs, just pull a little and they will pop off, there is like 4 screws inside, unscrew them then it will come off
