anybody has a picture to show which parts i should cover before i hose down my engine bay?

i want to clean it so bad.

someone said cover the alternator...and something else...but i dont where they are located.

any pics would be appreciated. thanks!

Don't worry about it, just power wash the whole dam thing! I wash mine all the time, its always full of dirt because I like to drive on gravel roads. grin

Even the alternator doesn't mind a bit of water. I don't cover anything. It comes out real nice & pretty! thumbsup

idunnoabout cleaning the engine bay but...

here's your alternator.. it's the one with the black pulley next to the AEM pulley happywink

I've only done it a couple of times but when I did I didn't cover anything. Not sure if thats good or bad but everything seems fine thumbsup

yeah bro - when I clean the engine bay I leave the passenger cover piece in place so as not to get the alternator or belt wet... then I just spray everything down with a hose and use the cd2 engine detail kit:

*rinse*
1 - clean and prep
*rinse*
2 - detailer

... the final product looks amazing. The $10 you spend will be well worth it. Here's a link:

Yeah, as long as you have your plastics in pace they will cover up everything that dosen't need to be wet. I do mine all the time, never a problem here.
