I know I just posted this topic, and I thank the all-mighty Isaac for all his help, but I'm gonna ask again. Does anyone know where I can get gunmetal or black hood pins???

Also, does anyone know where I can get hoodpins installed on a c/f hood in the southern cali area for cheap?? (CHEAP IS THE KEY WORD, HEHE)

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Options Auto Salon [optauto.com] has some Sparco hoodpins for like $25. No gunmetal though, only silver.

OKAY, I searched Google and I can't find black hood pins!!! This is driving me crazy because I really really really want em. So if anyone could be really helpful and really tight about this and just gimme a link or someone to call or anything showing me where black hoodpins are sold, that would be REALLY REALLY apprciated.

A normal hood is heavy, so it can stay down with just a normal hatch. However, if you buy a carbon fiber hood, it's a lot lighter in weight, so at high speeds, there is a chance that the wind will catch the hood and the hood will fly up in your face on the freeway or something. That is why hoodpins are needed to hold down the pins a lot more than a stock latch.

I heard that if you do that, the paint comes off easily and gets messed up easily. However, it seems like I have no choice so does anyone know what kind of paint I should use???

I really really want the black hoodpins, just because I think it would look really tight. My celi is black with gunmetal rims and I just think the black hoodpins would compliment it very nicely.

I went to google and I don't know what to search for. When I search for "black hood pins" or "gunmetal hood pins", it comes up with tons of results with a page that has a black car with hoodpins or black rims and hoodpins. so that doesn't really work.
