Celica Forums General Discussion General god hates me, but its a mutual feeling

so ya. i was driving in Baton Rouge to meet up with some friends and whatever and im driving down Lee Dr. theres a green toyota tacoma that slams on his breaks. right after that, a brownish maxima slams on his and i slam on mine. unfortunately i couldnt stop soon enough and i slammed into the back of the maxima. my front urathane bumper is cracked in spots and my reinforcement bar is bent in half. dont know about any other damage as far as radiator and whatever but... its not pretty. im so pissed right now i can shoot someone. the last week has been a great week for me and i was even registered to race tonight at auto-x in gonzalez. now i cant run. everyone is fine i guess, physically. i just dont wanna deal with the car right now. they all agreed not to go to the police cause they had little to no damage and legally (technically i dont think i should be) i would be responsible. also this is my first wreck in my celica. so ya... again when things start going my way, god is always there to drop kicks me in the nuts. im not sure if ill be going tonight to auto-x cause im too worked up right now. i may just go to my friends house and play some xbox.. kill some things there before i kill someone else. worst part is i cant even go to insurance right now because its a saturday. and school starts in a week so i wont have a car im royally fucked anyway i look at it. i need this fixed sometime this week. anywhere as long as its a good job and its quick. any suggestions?

I am curious how you think "God" would have anything to do with your driving? I am athiest, so maybe I just don't get it?

there was a ditch the to right. and i really wasnt that close. the zone was a here. 45mph zone. and you cant not drive too far away in the town otherwise you get cut off and run into them instead. just the way traffic works around here.

You are following too close if you slam into a car that stops in front of you. You are supposed to adjust your speed to the conditions regardless of rain or snow or whatever. If you hit them, its 100% your fault; not Gods.

you really can't go of of lee road..its a 2 lane highway with ditches on either side.

well if he was on lee road that means he's in baton rouge right now and as far as bodyshops are concerned i don't know of any that i've ever dealt with.

if your in new orleans, manhattan collision center (harvey--exit westbank expressway manhattan) is excellent, combel's customs (marrero--exit westbank expressway barataria TR to 4th street) is also very good.

there's also this place in new orleans itself but for the life of me i can't remember the guy's name..he does fast work and usually for pretty cheap. i'll have to get back to you on this.

how messed up is your trd front? is it able to be popped out & repainted or would you have to actually get it repaired or order a new one?

There has to be a god, because after 2 years of driving a girly VW Cabrio, I'm finally getting my Celica! (btw: it's a black '01 and I'm getting it on Monday! I'm so excited!!!)

well...its your fault whether you like it or not..your lucky that the other people involved were kind enough not to report it...so in a way god was on your side

think of it this way... it could have been worst

speed, i have to get an all new bumper. the TRD bumper split in 2 spots (right under each headlight). ill have to get an all new one. and as far as following to close, i know it was my fault. but like i said before, it couldnt be avoided. ask speed.. he'll tell you how Louisiana drivers are. im mainly mad cause i was planning on autocrossing 3 hours after the wreck and i couldnt autocross tonight. however i went anyways and rode with some others on the course. as far as blaming god, my roots with him grow much deeper than this wreck. its a never ending grudge with him.

neither did not hating... so why would it matter? anyways... i went ahead and told my friend at the toyota dealership and hes getting me a pretty good deal on the bumper i suppose.

and i never meant to offend anyone by my beliefs in a god or not. so dont take it personal. the last thing i need is someone preaching to me. i know where i stand and thats all that matters to me. there is no changing that.

Did the maxima hit the truck? If sooo, I think legally it would have been the maxima's fault
