Alright guys...I really suck at this kind of stuff so I kind of need your advice on it.

I am really wanting to get rid of my Auto GT and get a 6 speed GTS...(I'm sure you all know why) ... and well I'm looking into one of these two things

1. Selling the car myself and taking the money, paying off the car and then getting the GTS

2. Trading it in on a GTS

Which do you think would be a better decession?

hey zero grin wave

you can get more by selling your car "privately".

you lose a lot of value when trading.

Well I put 8000 down on the car and it was 14,000...and I've only been paying on it for 3 months...and my payments are at like 153.00 a month...

But my KBB value is at $12,455...and I think if I'm going to sell it...do it now while that's where it's at.

if you want to sell it, do it soon. 05' is coming, which means the value of your car is going down a little more...

Take it to a dealer and see what they'll give you for it. Odds are they are going to try raping you on the trade-in, but it's always worth a shot. If they get within $800 of private party bluebook, I'd say go for it. That never happens 95% of the time though.

Otherwise, put it up in the autotrader. Check if there are any weekend car fairs by your house, where you can leave the car for sale on weekends. You're going to have a far easier time selling your car than I'm going to have selling my 03 GTS, because far more people are willing to spend $13k on a private party vehicle than close to $20k
