Hey everyone. I get the Celi back on Monday afternoon. We know what that means... Anyway, I have a couple of questions. First, I have a ton of stereo stuff in the car. $350 head unit, $400 components, $100 rears, plus two $175 subs with a $300 amp. Would it be best to leave all of this in the car and try to recover some (hopefully most) of that in the sale price? Or, should I replace everything with the stock parts (still have them)? I know putting the stock stuff back in would be a pain... Second... in addition to autotrader, what do you guys suggest I list the car in? There is an auto faire down at the local high school every week, and I plan to put the car down there. I'm just wondering if anyone knows a good place to list it besides. Thanks guys. I'm going to miss the Celi... but maybe you'll still let me come to meets in my next car

IMO keep your system (it doesn't worth to give it with the car) It's actually < n e w >... you can install it in your new car In the other hand, about where to place the add, I guess AutoTrader has a L O T of visitors everyday... in fact a know a lot of people that got their cars through AutoTrader. FYI : Here is the website for the Cypress HS www.carfair.com [ carfair.com]

^^do you even know wut you saying or r you saying wut ur friends say? an s200 is 240hp, and handles like a mother fucker. with a few mods, an s2000 will be a frickin rocket, plus s2000 has a lot of good aftermarket parts. for looks and Performance(new looking car unlike 90s mr2), s2000 is one of the best cars you can get. not bashing the mr2s at all though, they are awesome cars. drive an s2000 before you talk about one, then ull respect it.
as for you revmonster, put it on autotrader.com, recycler.com, ebay.com... have 2 prices, one with the system, the other without. if the owner wants the system, then good for him, or else sell it separately. if not, sell it separately, noone will want to pay extra 1000$ for system. its already gonna be tough to sell the car itself (red, gts, celica, already hard to resell)

Hmm, probably will keep the system. The subs are sort of worthless in a car that small though. Might just sell those. Morris, thanks for the link... that's actually where my family has sold a few cars lately. There is an 01 GT up there right now... hopefully they have room for a second Celi

The S2000 isnt that fast man. Some Mr2 owner call it the Slow2000, hahaha The S2000 isnt that fast man. Some Mr2 owner call it the Slow2000, hahaha It's a 14.1 second car when driven by the magazine writers. Same deal as with our car, the "average" person can run near a half second faster than that, when driving it to its limits.

Some people consider anything above 12 seconds slow. Its open to opinion. I'd say an S2000 is fast.

The hood on the 2000 is WAY too long, makes it kinda look stupid. The interior is garbage, carpeted console & lousy ergonomics. The only thing good about it is the 9000 RPM redline & the horsepower to weight ratio.

Yeps, get everything back to stock. You can even use the stereo system as part of your bargaining tool. Say for example that the person that is purchasing the Celica is into sound, then tell him that you will throw in a set of speakers or something to just make the deal sounds too good to be true and he will pay the premium for your car.
As for selling cars, not sure if you have some sort of a Craigslist in your area, but that I what I used to sell my Focus ZX3. I think I sold that car in about 2 weeks.

They see your stereo they will want it included, you end up giving it away for nothing. Sell it seperate.

you wont get anything extra for the aftermarket stuff. Yup I agree...And as far as selling it goes, I'd try Atuotrader like you said, and maybe eBay, local newspapers, the local show you talked about at the HS, and just anywhere else

The only thing good about it is the 9000 RPM redline & the horsepower to weight ratio. have you sat in an s2000? it has a nice and neat, clean interior look. not cheap looking at all. very comfortable, big armrest area.
