no but i def like it, whered you get it from, and how bad did that hurt your pocket? because im lookin for a Carbon Fiber hood, and im tired of the OEM with raised hoodscoop every1 has...
Wow. I remember reading about how they were going to send you this a few months ago, and I wasn't sure to believe it or not. That is one cool hood man. Props to you. Edit: Get some more pics of it too, well, if you get a chance.
I'm interested in seeing some better shots as well and also comments on the fitment and possibility of rain getting into the engine bay through those vents...
I like the vents, but I'm not crazy about the white grill in it, but that probobly matches the rest of your car. And GraSSRooTs, nice to see that sig put to good use! It's an honor to me to see you use it. If anyone else wants one, I'd be glad to do one for ya just PM me!
The only thing is that it doesn't seem to fit 100% (big gap in the front), and since the Fiberglass hood had such bad fitment (as many people noted, yourself included), I'd be cautious about buying one myself.
looks good.went to veilside.com and it says that it comes in both Fiberglass and carbon fiber now. personally i am waiting for this hood to come out for our car. which is the RE-amemiya hood, but vis racing has a new hood that looks just like it.
dude, i love that hood, the VS hood is by far my favorite, follwed closely by the Invader. it's just got a mix of clean and aggressiveness put into it all in one, it just blends perfectly. personally though, it only looks good on the complete FFGT kit IMO, that's the only way i'd have it done
The right side of the vents are right over the engine plastic so that is OK. The left side is over the small open part right next or over my tube for my short ram Intake that should also be fine too.
I have a friend with a open hood scoop for his Celica and he says that rain never goes in no matter how hard it is raining. I think he is lying, but the engine may get so hot that the water just vaporize when it enters.

I do have the FFGT kit just look at my profile
My bad bro that'll look hot!!! my plan if I were to get the same hood is to *dust* paint it. so it has a light *color* from the car in the hood, but yet you can still see the Carbon Fiber thru the paint.
