Celica Forums General Discussion General squeaky clutch... wtf?!?

Well, I have a problem. Wehn i press the clutch in i hear a loud squeaky noise in my engine bay.. I read the artice in the "installs" section so i put some WD-40 on the part that connects the linkage and whatever it is together... It said to move the linkage to the left which i wasn't able to do (it wouldn't budge) what could be the problem? also it doesn't squeak all the time just sometimes... help would be great

try using lithium grease on the linkage

i only have 21,400 miles on my car... you think i need to change it already?

take it to the dealership and don't get it back until the problem is fix..get a rental car from them...you got warranty right.

I take back the gear oil change, it isn't necessary.

Have somebody push the clutch in, you should see a lever move to the right in the engine bay. There's a rubber accordian boot attached to the base. You'll see a little opening. Spray some lithium grease in there; and push the clutch in and out a few times and repeat.

Check the clutch fluid (pump)
