my rear exel tz-5 with kuhmo711's 215/45r17 tires are too tall, should have gotten 215/40 or 205/45.

Why do you say they are too tall? Based on looks, or do they interfere with something or cause any problems?

I'm debating whether to switch from the stock rims to 17" rims, and I'm not sure whether the tires should be 215/40 or 215/45.

the rolling diameter is a little larger than stock, so they slow it way down.

Can you please answer my question? I wrote you a PM asking if your rims had a polished lip or if that was just a reflection? Thanks

Renee...
I think the lip is polished a tiny bit...if you look at this photo.
[Linked Image from wheelmax.com]

but it's not the whole lip since the wheel has a small lip and it doesn't look like you can notice it that well...

here is where you can notice it...

Awesome wheel, I was going to get them but they were kind of dull and I wanted a shiny finish on them...

but nonetheless, those wheels look awesome and i think on your celica, they would look great! grin
