So I got my car back this afternoon, more than a month after my accident. Everything looked fine at first... but then I found the problems.

My rear quarter pannel has a chip that wasn't there before. The rear brake light cover (action package people know what this is) is scratched to hell. The board that goes over the spare tire is square instead of round, and doesn't even fit. They said that the chip was a "door ding" and that they weren't going to fix it. The other two things are going to be fixed asap, and they are ordering the parts. But the worst part...

I get home and realize the one place I didn't look was under the front bumper. Yup... some moron scratched the bottom of my BRAND NEW TRD bumper. angry angry angry

I'm calling them tomorrow to tell them what I found, but somehow I get the sinking feeling that they will say I did it since getting the car back (at 6pm today rolleyes)

Contact the BBB about the body shop if they don't want to fix it. Then lawyer up.

Also let them know you will tell everyone the shoddy job they did. You friends, your parents, your parents friends, anyone who will listen. Tell them you will warn them to stay away from their shop any chance you get.

Perhaps not, but if anyone were to call them and see if any complaints have been filed with them against the body shop, then they will lose business.

This just gave me an idea...

Stand out in front of the shop holding a sign of the damage, and protest. grin

Thinking about it, I'm just confused about the bottom of the TRD front.

Were they out joy riding or something? There are no driveways or even speed bumps in their lot. rofl

Eh, we'll see tomorrow when I call. Right now I'm just in an okay mood because I finally got registered for the last of my classes this semester. spineyes

revmonster, you cant believe how mechanic shops/body shops treat customer cars: like shit.
been there, done that, seen it all. a lot of ppl dont care cz their cars are old and dont care about the looks that much, but they dont understand that ppl own celicas bcz they love the looks of it, and they want it to look perfect.
tell you the truth, you cant really do much unless ur really certain that the damage wasnt done by urself. the problem is how to prove them they did the damage eventhough they did it for sure. if you can prove that they did the damage, then ull just threaten the shop to take legal action, and in less than a second ull see theyll paint all ur car for free. penalty for them is pretty huge like closing the shop for a week minimum, and if they work during the week they are suspended, they get suspended forever

Did you write down mileage before giving them the car? Thats what I would of done, and take pics of everything before bringing it in.

I bet the tow truck did it. When I got my car back, the bottom of the front bumper was jacked! And my license plate was bent!
