i looked up the neon tube center console install and thought id give it a try, but the 6" bulb i bought was a little too bulky on the ends, and wont fit, anything i can do to fix it, or maybe...would a 4 inch work?

I had the same problem. You are placing it behind the black plastic piece that contains the AC and Rear Defrost button, right?

I tried that, and it was still very snug, so I just took a metal file and filed off some of the back side so it would fit in there.

Unfortunately, I didn't file enough off, and the neon tube was still being bent a little, and the next day, it snapped.

You have a dremel tool?

You could gently take a hacksaw to it also. You just need something to make a groove in the plastic for the neon or whatever you are putting in there to fit.

I told you Zalmero, you have to find those Optix ones. The other neons are too fuckin big! I checked 2 Autozones and 3 Pep Boys and couldn't find them. I might have to order. You know if the Pep Boys in El Cajon sells them? confused
