To everyone that has a body kit and is required to have a front plate where did you put it? I dont really wanna have drill holes in my kaminari front

krazy glue, magnets, scotch tape, or any combination of the three.

i just put it on my dash

i dont even know where i put mine lol. i just kinda dont have it on lol

Just leave it in your glove compartment until the cops give ya trouble. Then figure something out.

They are techniqly supposed to be securly attached to the front. Id just leave it off and keep it on you in case you get pulled ver. Tell them someone ripped it off and you just got the bodywork redone and havent attached it yet

jdm style, off the to the left... although it looks funny from the side... it looks good from the front...

Found this on the scion forums... but if you have a grill SECURELY installed to your Celi - this could also work out quite well for you too

Items needed: (items listed can be found at Lowes)

2 - 4 or 5 inch 3/8ths carriage bolts (I used 5 inch, maybe a little longer than needed)
4 - Large flat washers ( I covered one side of each with vinyl sticker for scratch protection)
2 - smaller washers (fender washers ?)
2 - 1.5 inch steel Spacers
4 - 3/8ths nuts ( I used two regular and two with the locking plastic ring inside)
OPTIONAL: Mounting bar (I used some flat aluminum, NOT fun to work with)

Mounting bar is optional because you could just use the bolts thru the license plate holes and mount it straight up that way.

Drill holes in the mounting bar and dremel or file holes to accomodate square part of carriage bolt head. Insert carriage bolts, put small washers on the bolts. Follow with steel Spacers and regular 3/8ths nuts. Tighten nuts to hold carriage bolts and Spacers in place. Add one large washer to each bolt. Insert bolts thru honeycomb at desired location. Place large washer on each carriage bolt behind honeycomb, follow with locking nuts. Tighten deez nuts until it sandwiches the honeycomb between the large washers. Add additional nut to lock if desired.

The reason I wanted the bar was originally so I could swap between my Cali plate and my JDM looking one when needed without having to take the whole thing apart. As i got down to the end of the project, I used two LED lighted bolts for the plate. It looks good except that It's not going to be easy to hide the wiring with this bracket and by running the wires thru the holes, it makes it hard to quickly swap the plates. I may have to rethink the lights on here...

Anyway, hope this helps. I planned it all out as I was browsing thru Lowe's. Hopefully this will help someone else save some time. I thought about making a kit, but with the weight of these little things, it'd probably cost more just to ship than to buy the parts locally.

wow isaac good post! thanks for your help. The grill i have is the kaminari honey comb and i think the holes may be to small to do that idea with but what about just zip tie it to the grill?

Why not attach it to your mesh grill. I've seen that done B4

I use to leave mine in my windshield. I would get pulled over all the time for it. One cop told me that if i was ever in a car accident that it would cut my or my passengers head off

a good idea to avoid that line,"it could cut off the passengers head" is to use suction cups! i have my license plate in the dash with 3 suction cups held on to it. that plate aint goin no where unless you pulled it off using a grip of your strength. try it out!

thats a good idea...how do the suction cups attach to the plate?

why don't you just get a standard toyota plate holder from a dealer? or if you really don't want to put any holes in your front, get a license sticker made up from vinyl, I'm sure a decent graphics shop will be able to sort you out
