what do the people in your area think about the celica?

most think it's a girls car for one thing. Not all but a lot of the guys do. They just think it's another ricer and hate on it of course.

i see a lot of peoples turn around when i drive by and my car is even stock. and a lot of kids stand like
and even my grand ma loves it , she had a 1gen or 2gen celica
its no hating on it her but becuase of the high car tax ricers are pretty common so i dunno.

Alot of people think its really fast. They really like how clean the interior is too. Girls love the car, hell a few have asked me to kiss it! no joke. Thats basically what they think of the celica

all my friends think it's hot. one of 'em drives a 6th gen. not sure what the kids at school think, but most of 'em have eclipses and mustangs (one has a Mitsu 3000GT Twin Turbo!!! )

i've gotten quite a few compliments on how clean my car is, from people who are muscle car fans. . .

but im sure overall ppl around here like it. . i dunno

in my town, most ppl are honda lovers. oh, b16 engine in a hatch, silvia up ur ass, and all that bs. naturally, they dont like celicas that much, they are rare in the city, noone really seems to like celicas for no reason, maybe cz its a toyota.

All the civic guys evny my car. They THINK its super fast. And I have one of the cleanest cars around here. I see ALOT of heads turning and people pointing when I cruise around.

Im all stock, but kids seem to turn around and wave once I pass them.

yeah i don't get too much respect for my car from automotive enthusiasts cause they think its too pretty. but when i have the veilside exhaust on it's a different story, i once got props from a guy with a 300zx TT.

there are almost no car enthusiasts around here. they all think that a mustang is the fastest thing on four wheels and it's the end-all be-all of cool looking cars.

well girls in my town think the celicas are sexy and since i live in a rich neighborhood, guys ask me "y not juss get a g35 or an m3" i would get idiot remarks like that once i get my celi

The small town I live in (about 10,000) had only 2 other Celi's when I bought mine. Now there are at least a dozen or so. It used to be unique!

some kids live across the street and are amazed by my car, even did a burnout to satisfy their amazement . We have ALOT of rice rolling around.

Girls are amazed by the car too. Some chicks were at the toyota dealer getting their camry fixed and i showed them it in it's sexyness...girls were like "OMFG!"

Classic example:

I first got my GTS (about a week into it) and was going to the hospital. Some jerk-off puerto ricans in a civic sedan roll down their windows and as if it's a girls car. I reply: "Nah it's not a girls car, wanna find out?". Wasn't even a race, roll by them with middle finger out the window waving by.

I guess it varies from place to place...

i slapped him. its ok, i knew him, there are only 750 people at my school so i know everyone. it wasnt the last time i hit him either, hes kind of a jackass.

My whole family thinks my car is hot. My neighbors love it too. Infact, i'm starting to see a couple pop up. Another one on my street and two more one street up.

My close friend hates on it, but he drives a Civic, so nobody cares what he thinks.

i get a lot of compliments on my car. when i first got it i drove by a group of kids and they were like . one of them even yelled "AWESOME CAR!". Celica's are DEFINITLY head turners in my area

they call it a chick car..pretty rare and they turn heads too

I think people here in so cal like the celica... i mean i see like 10-12 a day... its madness! not quite jetta status but there are a lot of celicas!

i know for sure...so cal is the home of celicas i see so many everyday. what i like to do is drive by them and check out whos the champ driving..hehehe

and even funnier is the lil kids when you stop at a light, they yell out COOL CAR DUUUUUUDE hahaaha

i live in syracuse ny, and woman and guys love the car. one day this kid was like hey your car is hot i want to have sex with it. no lie true story i thought the s..t was funny as h..l But i get a lot of head turning around town.

^^yeah. well, as long as it's back, i just found someone else that loves the car. i normally park next to the same girl everyday at school, and the other day she gave a ride to one of her friends. it turns out that her friends dream car is a celica. she seemed pretty inpressed with the car (and me), so score +1 for the celica.

Just stay silent about people talking BS about you celica then when your at the light and you blow there hood off...

Celicas and Toyotas in general are pretty well respected in the UK, they've been around for ages and always come in the top 10 in customer satisfaction and reliability surveys. Celicas don't really have a boy-racer or ricer type image round here (least not until I fly through town revving the balls off it!) But I have noticed quite a few female heads following as I drive past

(Used to have much fun in the old days when my dad dropped me off at school in the brand new Supras etc.. we had one of the first Gen 5 Celica GT4's out on the road the week they were released over here.. now that really dropped some jaws!!)

everyone who I've come across has had nothing but good things to say about my car. I get compliments from people of all ages, from kids down the block to older people I work with. I also get complimented that I look good driving it. my boyfriend used to say that celicas are more of a car for a girl to have, but the celicas that I see around town are owned by guys so I think that proves his point wrong. He also has no problem driving it either.

when i lived in the mountains, everyone thought my car was exotic . now i move to SD and i see 4-5 celi a day if not more

In my country/city its like having a lamborgini Gallardo or sum really expensive car like that... I love it!
