For all that know, I've been working on this for the pass month. DIY projects are great hobbies. I feel like I really accomplished something and it came out pretty damn good, if I do say so myself.
Yea, I'll admit MTX isn't the greatest but they're cheaper than others and sound good ... I don't need to be breaking any windows or winning competitions.

i WAS an MTX fan untill this happend... its not the only one i've seen like this either. another thing to remember with MTX is that the wire on the back that goes to from the terminals to the cone has a tendancy to tear away from the cone, leaving it unrepairable. you have and awesome set up tho...but if ur sub dies out on ya get something besides MTX... i dont wanna see anyone get burnt like i did:-P good job on the custom work Good luck with the MTX's also

I bought a pair of MTX 12's & I ended up blowing 5 of them within a few weeks. I just told the shop to shove them. They sold me a pair of Infiniti Kappa Perfect 12's (in my avatar). The amount of bass difference was HUGE & they are still pounding 3 years later.

You guys must be getting ebay ripoff mtx or sumthin, all ine have been hardcore as shit. Darren also has the thunder 8500 if i remember and their beefy as hell, if you go to a 4500 which looks the same and try to blast it yea you will tear the seal. and if you bust 5 subs in two weeks then your doing something wrong and your stereo probably isnt wired right.
