Give yourself plenty of time to replace the bulb. It's a tight fit. I learned from my manual how to replace it. Brake lights are a lot easier... :-)

thanks a lot guys...that freaked me out when i took the side cover off to get at the bulb only to find a projector and nothing else.when i saw that i assumed i had to replace the whole projector and that i was gonna have to pay like 200 bucks.. a rfiend of mine just put a set of piaa;s in his truck. those things are BRIGHT...i think i'll pick up a set of them when i get paid this week:-D.plus i think its amusing when people blind me because they think i have my high beams on... then i turn mine on:-D fun stuff

8000K kit from XenonDepot doesnt use Philips ballast that is why it is cheaper...correct me if i am wrong.
why go over 4300K?
if you want more bluish color, go with 6000K.

if you want more bluish color, go with 6000K. You go over 4300k for looks. 8k would be more blue than 6k.

i e-mailed the guy at xenondepot about the lights because they're prices kinda cunfused me... heres what he said
" 1) The XenonDepot line of HID conversion kits (4300k and 6000k) are comprised of genuine Philips components. These components are more expensive thus causing the price of the kit to be more expensive. 2) We have had excellent results with our Xtremem line of HID conversion Kits. (6500k & 8000k) This kit like the XenonDepot one will also include a complete wiring harness, and custom moulded bases to ensure proper fitments. Furthermore, you are covered by a legitimate one year warranty. Both kits are an excellent choice! That choice is up to you! In terms of brightness, the lower the K, the brighter the color output. So the 4300k would be the brightest.
Regards,
Frank"
so 4300K is the brightest...
does anyone have the 6500K?? if so, how bright are they compared to the stock celica headlights?

in my opinion, 6000K has the best look.
but i will go with 4300K because it is the brightest.

i had 6000k and go 4300k for Performance.. if you want blue/purple you might as well just get colored bulbs imo but don't expect to have the nice flicker effect OEM hid headlight housings have... the key is it's all in the design of the projector and projector shield.. our celi's won't give the purple/blue unless you go higher k thus hurting light output on the road.. yah my 6000k looked sorta purple but so did the ground also expect to get highbeamed at for the "UFO"'s/flares/hot spots our headlamps have..that aren't noticeable with stock but. to see what i'm talking about check this out.. Difference of Stock vs HID Celica headlamp pictures https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...&PHPSESSID= so basically to get true hid output.. either get an OEM celica housing so its street legal =P or retrofit a projector to produce the same results.. not legal but it works in my opinion get 4100-4300k and seal up those holes in the projector a bit =P also.. HID Banned in USA - FYI https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_182627_0_collapsed_5__1.html
