lift bolts

whats does lift bolts do? very lost...but i would like to know...how do you change them...and how do you know if there bad or not? anyone got pics of the bolts getting installed?

There are a few pics of my dad removing my Seared off Lift bolt. thus saving me 4,000$ Toyota wanted to do the exact same thing rofl
