i use Penzoil 10W30 Synthetic, but not because synthetic is any better than regurlar oil, beacause it is NOT, but rather because insted of changing every 3-5k you can get away with 6-7k

Synthetic is definately better than non, its way more durable & has a better temperate range. Its superior in many ways. However, I would still change it at the same frequency as normal oil. Combusting gasoline creates chemicals which break down oil, changing it regularly at about 4000 miles is always a good idea.
AMS OIL FULLY SYNTHETIC! It out performs anything! I work at an auto parts store and I found this out when I did my first oil change. I called our distributor and asked for some testing specfications and they send me a huge packet. They tested all the best oils and AMS OIL was the best! Mobil 1 was in second then castrol was third! They did like 12 tests and it only lost one test in which it took second to Mobil 1! AMS OIL is the best oil but also is a little harder to find.
Hey guys, most of you have a GTS. So I can see why synthetic is a good choice, but is synthetic a wise choice for a GT? Maybe a stupid ? But I know gas makes a difference with GT and GTS, so maybe oil does too...
Thanks

Sythetic is best for all motors.

Ask a million oil companies & they will all tell you theirs is the best.
Redline's motor oil is one of the best. I can afford it and should've went with it because I can, but it's not as easy to get around here as say going to Walmart and picking up a 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 as already said. I use Mobil 1 5/30 or for the time being 10/30.
wal-mart is so not gay..heheehe..i like wal-mart, although i would never buy oil filter there again...but i'm gonna go there to get the Mobil 1 5w30 on sunday, then run to advanced auto part for an oil filter called Puralator, some shit like that...it's 98%, betta then waht i was using, Fram..fram suxk..

If you care about your car, then don't buy anything for it from Wal-Mart, especially oil.
The reason they can sell it there a lot cheaper is because they get the shit that didn't meet the requirements to be sold in auto parts stores.
Meaning, if you buy 5 quarts of Mobil 1 oil at Wal-Mart, and another 5 at Autozone, you may pay less for the oil from Wal-Mart, but it's not gonna be as good as the shit you got elsewhere.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force...number one in the hood, G
ummm I work at wal mart and i manage a tire lube express. The oil you buy at wal mart is just as good as the oil you would buy at any auto part store. If it wasnt then The castrol and mobil 1 reps wouldnt come to stores often. trying to market more products. Now for oil filters i agree fram oil filters suck. they have a lot of problems with sealing and they have also cracked and expanded i get complaints about fram all the time. if you ever get ur oil changed bring ur own filter.5w30 mobil 1 is the best oil for any car untill 60k miles then id go to 10w30 after 80k miles id go to a high mile oil. Also if you have any oil leaks i would not use any synthetic shit will leak faster than reg oil.
^^^see slidr?? just because it's wal-mart that don't mean they're bad..so the fog light other people bought from wal-mart to put on their TRD body kit is also bad?? by the way i already compare Mobil 1 oil from autopart store with wal-mart's and the prices are the same, even for Castro GTX...i also bought other thing from wal-mart too..like paint, so if the paint at wal-mart are cheaper then the Paint store and it's not good either?? come on now..
Don't put higher wieghted oils in a brand new car, it will eventually make the engine work harder all the time when it's not supposed to
regular 5W-30 is best for your new celi.
I have a little over 80,000 miles and It's summer here. That's why I'm using 10/30. I should have stated from the beginning - Mobil 1 5/30 new car 10/30 old and no "subzero conditions". I will probably switch back to 5/30 one of my next oil changes.
I know this a lil off the topic of oil. I think wal mart is 1 of the best places to get tires too simply cause you can buy or order tires and lets say you get a nail in ur tire the flat repair is free if you buy hazard protection plan with em and if its to close to the side wall walmart replaces ur tire and when its time to get new tires they do price adjustment by the remaning tread depth.
