hey maybe you guys can help me out. I have a 2000 gt and my head lights come on automatically at night. Is there any way of shutting them off so I can turn them on when I want to?

disabling the DRL's will fix your dilemma - if it didn't then you cut the wrong wire...

There's a red sensor on the top of your dash near the windshield. Thats a light sensor and when its dark it turns on your headlights. Try disconnecting that.

Just pull your parking brake up 1 notch before you start the car. Now your headlights will work manually & your DRL's are off. This is what you do at the drive-inn!
