So i'm getting ready to change my oil and i just got back from getting my oil filter from toyota and it has no gasket? what should i do? i don't wanna drive 20 miles to get a gasket

Well, you could transfer the gasket over from the filter you're taking out. This might be risky, since you could break it when you remove it, and then be without one. Or you could go to the closest auto parts store and try to find a cheap filter with a matching gasket. I dunno. Its always best to inspect filters/parts in general before you buy them. At least if you went back to the Toyota dealer you'd get a proper filter for no extra charge, and no risk.

it has the outer gasket but shouldn't there be another one?

Don't think so. I only remember ever seeing 1 gasket. Is it a Toyota filter, or TRD? I haven't looked at TRD filters before.

there should be only 1 gasket. call wherever you got the filter from and tell them that ur filter didnt come with a gasket. if i were you i would use another filter and return that one
