i have straight pipe after the cat w/ universal muffler and it sounds loud. I cant imagine kazuma being much louder. But now after six months its starting to pop when i let off the gas, or if i am bearly pushing on the gas it will backfire some. Never did this before, do you think its the muffler. If so if i get a new one do yall think it will go away, or think its the welding??

Im going custom exaust too, ditch the cat and big ass muffler box under hatch, no smog tests in florida (disbanded 20 years ago) and you can roll around with out a cat on.

uh, half of you arent talking about a real str8 pipe str8 pipe = no cat can't have a str8 pipe with a cat on also FYI if you dont have some kind of engine management the stock ECU cause the car to run super rich and you will lose power. you will however be hella loud

well im going to cut my stock exuasht muffler off and make it complety striaght from the cat and use it for racing only Or you could just unbolt the exhaust by taking off the two spring screws. The exhaust will still be on the car (you can take it off when you want), but the pipe will be open before it hits the exhaust system.

that is the bov right?? C2PowerGTS yea its a bov(HKS) and the price ran around 300 for 3in piping all the way back painted with a rust preventive paint and to weld on my TRM canister. They were out of stailess steel so i had to go with mild steel. Very happy with sound. Its really not that loud.

I noticed on the instructions for the DC Sports Header that they state if you run your header with no cat that voids the warranty and it causes damage to the header. How does this work? Or is it just bs?

Or is it just bs? That's crazy. There is no way not running a cat would damage a header. Less resistance after the header would be better for a header.

looks to me like 0-80 ish in about 8 seconds. I'd say he has a Turbo my 20 - 80 is also 8 seconds lol my 0-80 is about 9.5 - 10 gutted and before the power fc. thats why launch is so important gutted before power fc http://www.ksbservices.com/vids/0-120.wmvfull interior + power fc http://www.ksbservices.com/vids/TTFN.wmvmine is an example of no muffler but the cat and res are still there.

I doubt hes gonna give a shit how good his launch is. A bit of wheelspin just turns more heads and makes more of an impression.

lets see what make more of an impression... a 350 hp car that makes a crazy burnout sound comin off the line or a car with less horsepower stomping him all the way down the track cause they could launch? I guess we can add that to the list of stupid comments you like to make. some people around here like to learn how to do better and not just pretend they can

quote: looks like it was pulling hard listening to your gear changes in the clip. i assume you were red lining it. What sort of power it developing? You had any problems? How much did it cost vs300 yes it pulls hard and is scary at times actaully in this vid i never went over 6500 except in first which just shoots up to red line before you notice it. Im somewhere in the 350+whp range. I cant dyno until i get my new clutch package in. The problems Ive had were not a result of the kit but because of a bad oil pump i got from prodrive(now called circuit worx) Wasnt pretty, had to replace engine crank and a couple other expensive parts which gaspar totally helped me out on..thanks gas After $15000 not includeding replacement parts i stop counting. quote: where you at? i wanna see this car in person!! rem...stuttgart, germany...stationed here. quote: sounded to me like he short shifted 3rd. i never even got out of third... quote: You might wanna check out the racing forum to get advice on launching. Spinning that much comin off the line will kill your ET in that vid that was only my third time driving the car, so of course i dont know how to launch it yet. With some better tires and some practice im sure ill be able to launch like i could before... quote: also that was not a very smart place to make that video Next time try makin a vid where other people would be involved if you screwed up ummm although good advice, dont act as if you've never driven down a slow street fast your calling the kettle black...for sure! quote: I doubt hes gonna give a shit how good his launch is. i really dont as im not into drag racing, but as i said before with some practice it wont be long before the launch is lucky approved... quote: I heard the Apexi made a good Turbo Back or maybe it was HKS anyways what you recommend for Turbo back? not really sure as i have a straight back with a TRM canister, but ive already ordered a Apex-i N1 Turbo canster to replace the TRM, Ill let you know how it works out. quote: Stafford Fabrication not that im interested, ive yet to see dynos for this exhaust...do you have a link? suggestion to mods...GET A MULTIPLE QUOTE SYSTEM IN PLACE...copying and pasting sucks! BTW Lucky your vids are nice, really makes me miss and appreciate the 2zz in N/A form.

Do you still feel the extra kick when you hit lift or is it less noticeable because of the Turbo? Lucky, unless you go to a 'track' regularly and abuse your car pulling off and in a straight line then launching correctly at 15,000 rpm is very unecessary. Good launch or not, you stand no chance against 350bhp in your n/a celica minus the rear seats.

dude what are you talking about? When did i ever say what rpm i launch at or for that matter 15000rpms? When i did use the # 15000 it was to answer your question of how much money ive spent, and i said after 15000 i stopped counting. As far as lift i dont feel it at all, not even a sound change, but that could be due to the noise of the Turbo and tranny. Actually i wish the lift lump was gone now from the cam because it causes a slight dip in power that is hard to tune out then by 6500rpms something the power curve continues. It may be an advantage if you use Power FC to basically turn it off. Just set lift for 9,000 & see what happens.

shit. 15 grand is a lot of cash. not so bad if you bought your celica second hand though. With that sort of money you're running into TVR territory if you bought your Celica from new.
