Ok just so everyone knows. This dyno was done a third party not a part of TPR. I lended this guy an exhaust and Intake to do dyno comparisons between the TPR and TRD exhausts. Both runs were done on the same GTS. Both had the TPR Intake as well. I took this picture of the dyno that he posted to post here. There is a thread in the Performance section of new celica.org from him. Anyway here it is. Blue is TPR, Red is TRD...
TPR Intake! - Injens high end with AEM's low end and NO BOGGING! TPR EXHAUST! - Exhaust made 10.5 whp peak and 32 whp at 6300 on my car!!!

What are those gains over stock...or...what are the gains for the exhaust alone over stock. Are TPR Intakes and exhaust street legal for both emissions as well as the 95db limit on the exhaust?

mike, he told me that you were only available on the weekends?? Just so theres no confusion. The blue line is a dyno of TPR Intake and TPR exhaust, the red is a dyno of TPR Intake and TRD exhaust... There is a group buy goin on over at New Celica.org ... if you would like to hop in on one, PM me. TPR Intakes are street legal, just not carb legal. TPR exhausts are street legal and carry a 90 db test. 95 is the legal limit and TRD is 88, so you cant really hear a difference in loudness... here is the thread with the dyno i did of TPR exhaust vs stock: https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1870184300_0_collapsed_5__1.htmlany other questions let me know

TPR exhausts are also CARB legal because they do not affect any emissions equipment. The exhaust dynoed a 10.5hp peak gain on a stock GTS, with even more power gained below peak.

The very first production exhausts are almost finished being assembled for the first GB. Here are a couple pics of the unfinished prototype: www.new [ new] celica.org/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=2107055 (ditch the space in new celica) The actual production exhausts will be fully polished to a mirror shine like the muffler, will have a different tip, thicker mounting brackets, and a flange to make it a true bolt on exhaust. The only real things that will stay the same from the prototype are the muffler and the piping shape, assuring that the production exhausts will have same Performance as in the dyno.

i tried to order tpr and was told the price went up and he would contact me when i could buy an Intake...this was 3 months ago... Yup, long story behind that. First off, about the long wait: Basically, the original TPR machinist in MA screwed us over by working at slower than a snail's pace, then bent like 4 of our Intakes in a day (even trashed our designs for an underpanel ). So we promptly canned him and started a search for a better shop. We finally found a great one in CA with lots of connections in the industry. Next up was updating the design of the Intakes to fit and work better, since we had so many more resources at hand with the new shop. The end result: strong stainless steel Intakes with adjustable mounting brackets for the best fit possible (both firsts for any Celica Intake! ), a custom made-for-TPR silicone coupler, and a custom made-for-TPR K&N filter with more filter area than the average K&N filter, and dual venturis to substantially improve airflow (also something not found on any other Celica Intake). The MAFS fins (yes, another first for the Celica! ) are also cast into the pipe instead of welded for superior durability. The price increase: There just wasn't enough of a profit being made at $150 to be able to start research on this exhaust (or the future TPR headers, midpipe, and internals). TPR didn't even have enough money for the initial stock vs TPR exhaust dyno (the above is an independent dyno done by Red01GTS from NCelica.org) at the time (all the Intake profits were used up making the TPR exhaust prototype), but we were lucky since EasyC had a hook up at a local dyno shop so he got a free run in. Still, the prices on TPR parts are lower than their competitors, and their Performance and reliability are tops in their respective categories. The future: Our shop is ready to send out the Intake prototype to EasyC this week, and as soon as he approves it, production will start. The pre-ordered polished Intakes will be made first (fastest to make), then the other colors. After production starts, there will be ZERO wait for the Intakes to be produced, since this new shop can handle high volume orders. Same goes for the TPR exhaust: they're already being made before payment comes in for GB1, so the only wait you'll ever have is for the GB to fill up. The first GB is already full, and the second one has started. TPR Intakes GB: www.new [ new] celica.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=134342&perpage=1000 TPR Exhaust GB: www.new [ new] celica.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=144386&perpage=1000 (remember to ditch the space between new celica )

so when i have my smog check done i wont have to worry about takn the TPR exhaust off? I can't see why it would cause any problems. It won't increase exhaust emissions, or decrease them for that matter. As long as the place you go to doesn't hate non-OEM parts, you'll be fine. These new TPR products are looking badass so far, great job! This is only the beginning. Nope, sorry. Looks like Red01GTS only had a GTS to test. We were originally planning on dynoing one of EasyC's friend's GTs when he was on vacation a while back, but the dyno shop had to reschedule.

So we've established the fact that TPR is one of the best street legal exhuast systems as far as gains are concerned.
How does the sound of the TPR compare with TSRM? You almost have me sold. If anyone could describe it or sound clip comparison, I would appreciate that very much.

Hell, people have known that about the Injen CAI for years, yet they still bought it. It's better because it makes 2-3 more hp than AEM for about 500 RPMs, and who drives below 7500 anyway? As long as you start the car at 6000 RPM every time you move from a start and stay in lift all the time, you'd never know the difference between Injen and AEM.

Especially if it doesn't have a name brand sticker on it like AEM, TRD, or Injen. There are TWO dynos now on TWO separate cars, and both show the same area of gains. Yet people think that they're both tampered with. Anyone on here care to dyno their cars with the TPR exhaust when they get it?

I have started to mob my car.. but I'm doing reseach on the parts that I want to get.. I can't just put something in there just cause of the brand... every piece that you mod makes an effect... It all depends on the type of Race that you are going to run.. If the course is a full strech.. then by all means install parts that would give you high end power... but if you are going to play in a course that have a lot of twist, then your best weapon is acceleration.. so go ahead and install your AEM CAI, DC Sport 421 headers, and your TRD Exhaust.. hehe...
PS: I still want to see the Dyno Test on the TPR CAI...
