hey guys whats up, ive got an 04 celi gts...for about 3 months now ive had this horrible ticking/creaking/broken metal pieces hitting each other sound coming from the engine bay near the passenger side when im driving, anytime the trans is engaged and im pushing on the throttle i hear it, im a little nervous as to what it could be. any ideas would be great, would love to go to my fine local toyo dealer but I dont wanna hear any shit about my mods, thanks for any help guys

I had that happened to me I misshifted my car and then it started to make clicking ticking nosies on my engine bay and I bought it to the dealers and they had to fix all my shim valves the sound was gone but it kinda came back now so imma bring it to back to the dealers soon.

I had a wierd noise coming from my passanger side too, it drove me nuts, really was taking away from the pleasure of my drive, but turns out it was just my girlfriend talking. spineyes grin

Sounds like a serious tranny or drive shaft nuckle problem. Take it in ASAP.

My car does this noise when engine braking in low gears. I was told that it's normal, and I think it is also.

My car also makes the same noise (even during moderate acceleration) when I have been using my AC for a while, and then for some time after I turn it off.

No one knows for sure what causes the problem (many have said it's a loose heatshield, but it's not) but I believe that it has something to do with the AC pressure lines vibrating when in use.

I was going to secure mine, but I forgot.
