any swap isn't easy. to tell you the truth i think dropping a 3sgte into a 5th gen would be easier than most swaps but i've heard wiring is a real headache.

a little off topic but whats up with 3sge? i plan on replacing my 5sfe in the spring, was gonna just get another 5s to hold me through till i could afford a 3sgte. I heard someone say they were gonna put one in thier 5th gen and was wondering whats the overall pros and cons?

the t stands for Turbo in the toyota name game, so it would be a 2.2 n/a engine.

Man, a lot of people do the swap. Most of them are over at celica.net though. The swap is real easy, I know, I did it myself. I highly recommend it, it is a good car to start off with in High Performance. One major hting is that it is front wheel drive and easier to control if you start roasting the tires. I say do it man. I can help with questions you might have and also Clayton just pulled some archived material from celica.net that will really help you out. If you want to bring a 5th Gen to life, then do the 3S Swap.
