Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Who has bats 3rd roof light vinly cover? what does it do?

Hi guys I am wondering what does the vinyl cover do that bat sells on here for the 3rd roof light? Does it cover the whole light or it it just for looks? Reason why I ask is because I am wondering maybe this vinyl will completely cover the 3rd light and you won't be able to see the light at all, which I want it to do is disable the light itself, if its easier to just get the vinyl then that be great, let me know guys thanks!

I bought this, and you have to trim it a little, along with poke a hole in the spot where the rear washer fluid comes out.

My 3rd brake light is disabled due to the fact that I have one on my TRD spoiler, so I couldn't tell ya.

But, I do have the overlays that go on top of the rear brake lights, and I know for a fact that light does NOT shine through, so I don't see why it would be any different for the 3rd brake light.


But if you don't want it to shine through for sure, you can always just pull the plug on the brake light by opening the hatch and pulling out a rubber grommet that will then lead you to the connection.


EDIT: But I do believe that it is illegal to disable your 3rd brake light without having one somewhere else, like on a spoiler or something.
