I'm planning on taking on a project Celica. I want to either make the headlights flip open or change out the front headlights like the older gen's of Celica's... If i have a '02+ Celica is that possible?Your Text

Uh, anything is possible, but lights that flip open are gay. Not to mention that they break after a while.
In addition, you will need weld onto the hood to fill the hole, and also fill in the front bumper to accomidate the new lights.

It's just a project thing. I was looking at the older generations and how they have the flip lights, I was thinking of kinda cross-generationing the Celica. And YES, every celica is beautiful as it is.

surely wouldn't be good for areodynamics at night but if it makes you happy that would be interesting to see.. but just a note.. others want the present celica headlamps on their cars and they aren't even toyota!! i've seen someone post a nissan with them on and this NSX based car with them as well it's the headlamps that help add the exotic look IMHO

^^ That car is awesome looking! Before I read all of your post, I thought it was a Celica with a custom kit on it.

Looks good, but there is something about the way the hood on the car in the first pic bends and molds into the car so well.

I'm thinking of hiding the lights shown on the car as is. I have an '02 considered for project. I want them to flip out. Like not flip up maybe, but I want them to flip outward and then fold in when closed. Keeping the lights but making them flip so I can hide them when not in use... There ain't much to push for speed in Honolulu, there ain't much free roam, so I'm not too worried about the speed, that's what my Dart is for... The older gen lights might have been interesting, but I think I change my mind about it. I just gotta figure out how to do it. Does anyone know how to do that kind of stuff?

From... https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1870270355_0_collapsed_5__1.htmlA while back i was asking for some feed back on my idea for a project car. I wasn't asking for people to be so fucking inconsiderate as to say I'm a stupid fuck. I was asking for advice, and instead some people have their heads so fucking far up their exhaust pipes that they can't open their eyes and take a look from another perspective. There was some productive criticism given to me, and I can't discredit those that were helpful in my project; but I have to say that some people have no respect for other people. I was throwing around an idea to get ideas, not to get bashed and repelled as a dumbass. Personally all those fuckers that just dissed the idea rather than discussing it can bring their inconsiderate asses here and see how they take to losing to my project. :-D Thank you to those of you that have taken into consideration that I'm just another owner like yall, and not being a fuck head like some of those pricks that just think that they're all that with their mainstream POS cars. With an attatude like you had shown above, I dont think many people will be willing to help you much And then a few minutes later, you then went on to write a second topic... https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=1870270343I figured I should post this in the new people forum because you all should know what you're getting yourselves into by entering this forum. This forum has people that aren't very supportive or very smart. If you are taking on a project car, don't expect them to be very understanding, cause when your car hits the import tuner, don't think they won't change their minds and say "yeah, we supported the idea totally." People here are assholes... That's from my experience. For those of you that are supportive of ideas, awesome. Positive feedback is good. Productive criticism is good. But if you're just here to bash other people's ideas, you need to get a fucking life.
