I found out my ABS light is not on when I turn on the engine. Isn't it suppose to be on for few second? I kind of remember when the time I bought my car, it would be on. But it has not be on for long time. What should I do?

Yah, its standard in Canada as well. The GT its an option. I didn't want it. ABS is for those who want to slam on their brakes & cover their eyes. laughsilly

do you remember the ABS light coming on before? If it used to come on for a few seconds but it doesn't anymore, then get it checked out. If you can't remember ever seeing it before, then chances are you don't have ABS. The difference between the two is only obvious in panic braking under poor road conditions.

I believe you can just take your car to a good mechanic and he should be able to figure out whats wrong. Alternately I think there's a way to run your VIN and find out whether the car came with ABS or not.
