lol because its been done and acually are race crew is in the process of dropping a rsx-s k motor (i really dont know much about them) into a civic si hb right now should be done in about 3 weeks...but we are looking for something completely different to do and we figured a import 2zz motor in a gutted crx would make a rather impressive 1/4 car

The japanese 2zz-ge motors are the exact same as the USA 2zz-ge.
I know you're probably thinking about that extra
"10hp" but in reality it's the same shit.
The japanese ecu is tuned for higher octane gasoline and because emissions are different than there which accounts for the US vs JAPAN power difference.

first of all, the compression on the 2zz motors in japan arent that high. if you want that high of a compression, make sure ur never gonna put Turbo on it. if you want a natural aspirated car, then raise the compression as much as you want. IF U REALLY wanna do this swap, you dont have to get the engine shipped from japan, just get the ones you got around u, monkeywrench has some stuffs to raise ur engine compression, and get a power FC so you can tune the car the way you want. wut i dont really understand is that why arent you dropping a k20 engine in it? you said bcz ur friend has it, but keep a honda a honda. a honda with toyota engine sounds like a transexual. plus the k20 engine responds better with mods, so ull be benefited when you add Intake exhaust and all that. if you really wanna do it as a project, thats cool and fun, but k20 has a better powerband while the celicas is more unbalanced. plus ur gonna have some understeer when the engine is revving high. you know, the common problem with front wheel drive powerful cars, then you gotta spend some shitload of money for some nice suspension and strut braces.
its possible, its costy, and its a little crazy, but if you wanna do it for fun, go for it and let us know wut happens.

the engine someone was saying to drop in is " The Beast SX20 " which goes for $10,000 US & has 270 hp @ the fly wheel & 187 f/lb torque.

the engine to drop in that CRX your thinking of doing is actualy the F24 " Frankenstein " which is a Honda CRV block with a Accura RSX Type S head on it ... suposivly even more modable & capable of getting into the 400 hp range with Turbo's added to it ... thumbsup

And there's only one of them that's been completed. I hope you know enough about te K-series to be able to do a DIY frankenstein that no individual has ever done before.
