is there actually a TRD exhaust? I only found TRD Mufflers at www.trdusa.com [ trdusa.com] The only catback exhaust they have is said to use for highway use only. Not sure if that makes any difference. Does muffler give same gains as exhaust or they are the same?

the sport muffler is what you're after... same thing as TRD exhaust
the catback is Kazuma = illegal

A muffler is a resonator. Sometimes people interchange the terms "muffler" with "exhaust." They are not the same thing.

Hey, if you buy the TRD axle-back exhaust, here is where you will have to disconnect the stock exhaust.
The TRD Kazuma exhaust (which is not street legal) is a cat back exhaust, meaning that it connects up much further towards the front of the car, and replaces the pipe that you were talking about in the PM you sent me under the car.
That exhaust needs to be welded onto the pipe.
The TRD axle-back exhaust just bolts on where the stock one comes off.

yup, TRD doesn't have "exhaust," it's just a muffler. kazuma is a different story though, a true cat-back system...
