as you can kind of see i don't have the pipes they connect to the ecu box

Those pipes are already on your car.
I think what you have to do is cut them and then use the injen pieces to make them a little longer.

So to answer your question yes you need them

well i have the aem Intake and had a shop install it and they left those pipes out they seem pointless to have

acutally you cut them to make them shoter thumbsup

I've seen people with Turbo applications remove them or Intakes that got in the way. I don't see why it will hurt your car if you remove them. I'd keep them on as much as possible.

i think they are there for a reason
hence, the reason you should keep them on
to keep the ecu cool

The hose that's connected to it connects to the radiator it just sends cool air to the ECU... I kept mine and would reccomend you keep it on considering where the ECU sits in the celica.

Well its definetly important to keep the longer one. I couldnt of installed my AEM Intake without it. The shorter one is already there on the celica, so I just used the stock one and through the small one at my friend.

Yah, they supply your ECU with cool fresh air. Good idea to keep them. thumbsup
