AZZKIKR,
I just had the worse dream I have ever had the other night. I dreamed that the guy building my car had one of his young workers take my car to the paint shop. This kid was smoking the tires, taching the hell out of my engine, grinding gears, catching air off bumps in the road and then wrapped it around a pole. I don't have insurance on it right now to save money while I'm here, so I was screwed.
The next day I emailed my builder and asked him to promise me that he will be the only one to drive it. He said of course and I believe him. He is just one of those kind of people that you trust as soon as you meet him.
While you're here I need your help with the engine build up. On the 9th post down from the top of this page, I listed the things I will order from MWR. Can you tell me if I am forgetting anything?

hey badceli, like a few of the people on this site, don't listen to the flamers etc about "prove it etc". i have things that are extremely unbelievable as well, that's why i'm waiting till i truly have it to post about it. grin.

i think what your doing to your car is awesome and i'm sure it will turn out to be breathtaking. if it looks anywhere as good or better then the apr gt-300 widebody celi (i think its called that, in the middle of a brain fart right now) then the money invested into it will be well worth it. i'll be getting a celi or a bmw m3 in a couple years. for now i drive a 92 toyota 4x4 pickup. the roads and weather up where i am are too shitty to drive a nice celi around in. wish ya the best of luck with your car and hope it turns out as good if not better then you imagine it will.

back to the shadows for me. lol. registered for over a year and only have a handful of posts.

Thanks Spill_celica,
I haven't had anybody try to bust my balls for a few days now and that's great. I didn't think 00celica00gt was ever going to leave me alone, but I guess he finally gave up and moved on to busting somebody elses balls.
I have been checking out this sit for the past three years. I was going to wait until my car was done before I came on here, but I'm glad I came on while I'm still building it. Lot's of people have given me some very good advise. Like which site to go to for parts that I have been searching for and then qt1ncelica selling me the hood that is one of only 30 ever made. I didn't know that until Isaac told me.
About the APR GT 300 widebody celica, that has been one of my favorite cars since the day I seen it. I will get that bodykit, but I'm not crazy about the rest of the car. I don't think the interior looks that good and I think that supercharger looks like a big transmission sitting on the front of his engine. I will copy the best looking engine I have ever seen and that's in the Red Dragon. Then try to improve it from there. Like a chrome spark plug cover and a chrome Intake manifold should make mine look a little better.
The BMW M3 you're thinking of getting is an awesome car. I think it's the only car that I have seen beat the Supra in a shoot-out by a magazine. We all know what an awesome car the Supra is. Kind of hard to beat that one.
I drove a BMW that was still running very strong with over 300,000 miles on it. Very tough, very fast cars. I almost got one, but the looks and the handling of the Celica sold me.
Anyway, stay out of the shadows and come talk about cars with us.

Spill_celica,
What don't YOU like about his interior? Please don't say the roll bar because one is being put in my car right now.

Thanks JSPITZ,
But I lost my motivation about 10 years ago after I left Ft. Riley KS. This is my 2nd war and I'm done after this. I'm getting out after this and going to Wyo-tech to learn how to build custom cars. A friend of mine and I will open a custom car shop in Killeen Texas in a couple years. I can't wait to do a job that I will love for a change.

No, I would have to do another 8 years to retire, but screw that. $1,100 a month for retirement isn't worth me staying 8 more years. I would rather just get out now and run a car shop. I'm tired of this Army stuff. I never get to spend time with my Celica. Oh yeah, and my family.

badceli...well honestly the main thing i dun like for the interior is the way the racing seats are. just the color to the back of the seat itself. yeah yeah, kinda kpicky and true reaching a little i suppose, just a little too bare for my tastes, and yes i do fully realise its made to be a race style car.

Spill_celica,
I hate the color of the back of the seats. You can never be too picky when it comes to your car. Every inch of mine has to be perfect or I will change it. I too am going for the race style look, but it will also be a show car with painted plastics and molded Fiberglass everywhere. Trying to build the best of both styles, race and show.

mr_celica,
Thank you for the laugh. That was damn funny "Hey Richie Rich". Funny.
Anyway, sorry I don't have pictures to show yet. It's all being done right now. I just came on here to get everyones help on where to get parts and ideas on different things as I build my car. The one picture I put of my car on page 3 of this topic is how it has always looked. The picture was sent to me just to show me the new shaved door handles.
And yes, it is hard to believe that I beat those Supras. Vampyre told me a few times that he just didn't know how I could have done it, so I wrote back and explained exactly how I did it. I think on page 4.

mr_celica,
I wasn't being sarcastic. I really did think it was funny. As for getting a better car than a celica, are you crazy? There is no better car. Just kidding. I know there are better cars, but I think the celica is the best looking car on the road today. Even if I was rich, I would still have a celica. A lamborghini is great, but I don't like the image that goes with it. People would say "look at this rich snob, I bet he thinks his shit doesn't stink, let's go key his car".
My dream car would be a celica made of nothing but carbon fiber and light weight metal, with a carbon fiber APR GT 300 widebody kit, AWD and a fully built, chromed out, twin Turbo, nitrous injected, Lamborghini v-12 in the back.

VSGTS,
Sorry I don't have pics. It's still all being done right now. When I put up my mod list on page 1, I didn't want to sit and brake down the list in sections like...what's on the car, what's being made right now, what has been ordered or what I have given my builder money to do, but he has not done it yet. Lot easier to just say "here's what I got, what do think about these parts".
So I came here for advise while there is still time to change things or find a cheaper place to get stuff.
