First things first hi all. I have a 2001 celica gts. Is it safe to run about a 35 shot of a NOS without harming the engine? Will NOS lower the engines life? Or should I take a nother route besides NOS? What other mods are there for safe horsepower increases?
My current mods are 1 injen race divison cold air intake 1 sway bar 1 apexi n1 exaust 1 pacesetter hi-flow cat 1 jet chip with reprogramed ECU by JET 1 trial header 1 trd short shifter 1 set of lightened underdrive pulleys

35 is the safest to run, it will probably shorten the engine life a little ... of coarse almost every mod will do that.
Just take good care of it, and you should have no probably running a 35 shot.
Just use a wet kit.

35 shot is fine. Of course there will be engine wear, but a 35 shot won't do much.
Question about your JET chip. Rumors have gone around for a very long time saying that the JET chip and a reprogrammed ECU will not do anything for our cars. Did you notice a difference? You wouldn't by any chance have a dyno of just the ecu and chip?

I noticed a difference with the ecu and jet chip. But I also did the headers and cold air intake at the same time so the power gains may have come from those other 2 mods. No i have no dynos. I live in ohio i have hard enough time finding a performance shop thats close at a reasonable price let alone a place where i can dyno this beast.

Do you think the gains were worth it? How long have you had it? What kind of gains did you notice? How much did it cost?

The scary thing yeah the gains where worth it. But the big question was did the gains come from chip or did they come from the headers and cold air intake. We need someone to take one for the team buy a chip and dyno it to see if it truly gains anything at all. I paid 299.95 for chip and 60.00 install charge my car was down for 3 days.

35 shot is safe to run. i have been running it for about 8 months. i spray it every thursday nite at the races. so its abused about 4 times a month for 8 months. i just recently upgraded my plugs because i plan to run the 50 shot. but nothing past that. with your mods your good to go with a 35 shot. i have the NX wet kit. and its been working gravey as fuck. your gonna feel a huge differnce with your mods. i only have a cold air... oh yea get a good mechanic... nitrous on a gts is a fucking bitch.
